Well personally, even though I am against the killing of an unborn baby, I still strongly support existing freedom. That is, freedom of choice in that women have a right to do what they want with their body and not be forced breeders or as political subjects. Considerably, since the fetus is not yet an independent individual with a awake conscious thought process, it is essentially a part of the woman's body until birth. Nearly 50 years after Roe v. Wade, it's still one of the most controversial issues ever and is just being slowly chipped away.
I think the government at the most should discourage abortion, but banning it is cruel and unusual in regulating what other people do with their own body. And this is upholding women's equal rights? It also creates a bunch of stonewalling, legal issues, confusion, and minefield for many people when an abortion is a necessary option for the health of the woman or say, a young teenage girl who will be abused by her parents should they find out. Or a woman who was raped. She shouldn't have to carry the burden if she doesn't want to.
Yes, this is a very leftist Democratic view.

I take it you mean "Abortion". I personally would chew glass rather than gestate and bring another human being into this world. Our planet is under enough pressure now from the out -of - control breeding of the human species.
Not to mention the fact that with today's (not entirely unjustified, but wrongly responded to) obscession with child abuse, parents and other adults who have any interraction with juveniles are prevented from exerting any real discipline any more, under pain of being, themselves, penalized for "abuse" As a result kids are lording it over Adult society, and somewhere further down the road, we are all going to be very sorry we let it happen.
Those being my reasons for not wanting to breed any children, if I were to discover myself accidentally pregnant, without hesitation, without compunction, without guilt, without regret, I would terminate it.
I have sometimes heard anti-abortionists attempt to make the argument.... "Gee, what if your mother had aborted you?" DUHHHH! If she had, then I would not exist, and if I had never come into existence, there would be no "me" to worry about it, now would there?

totally against it 100%....there's no reason a child should be murdered before it is born, it's not fair. And for those who think "It's the mother's body she can do what she wants", no it's NOT the mother's body, it's the baby's body. Each have totally seperate blood, and each might even have a different blood type.....ask yourself, who does the placenta belong to? Not the mom, it belongs to the baby. Plus there are tons of couples out there who can't have kids and would love to adopt, so give them the chance

I personally wouldn't get an abortion unless there was something seriously medically wrong with myself or the fetus or if I was raped or had higher order multiples (reduction is also abortion) so that some babies would make it. But it is not my place to make that decision for other women. So, I support abortion rights.

To each his own, the person that makes the decision is the one who has to live with it.
