I like it. Even though it is unique, it is still very pronounceable and spellable - which are huge blunders people tend to make when they start making up names.

It would make people who say it sound like they have a lisp, or kids may say she has a lisp when she says her name
Teacher: And your name is....?
Your daughter: Kethany with a K. Like Bethany, but with a K.
Doesn't that sound like an awful way of going through school?

Sorry, I don't find it the least bit appealing. You've basically taken a classic, though slightly dated, name and turned it into trendy -- and already even more dated -- random K name. Ick. Plenty of those to go around already. I'd try for something that's actually unique.
