20 lbs, when I was pregnant they said that is the max I could pick up. I was slinging computers around until I was full term. Monitors were heavier, I got some help for those.
But you should check with your doctor you might have some issues that I don't know about, but that is the norm.

I worked at Home Depot when I got pregnant and after telling my OBGYN this, she wrote me a note saying I could not lift over 25 lbs during my pregnancy. I think it varies from person to person, but the first trimester is the most crucial time because you're still at risk for a miscarriage. Think about all of the women that lift up their toddler and older children while pregnant though so I think more like 35-40 lbs is probably still okay. If you don't have to lift over 25 lbs then definitely avoid it to not take any chances.

That depends on how much she was used to lifting before pregnancy and whether she has any risk factors or problems.
Generally women are told they can lift between 25-35lbs. I was told 35lbs with my first pregnancy but I was used to regularly lifting 50lbs or more at work.
Women at risk for preterm birth may be told not to lift anything over 5-10lbs. Same for women with Syphysis Pubis Dysfunction.
However if you have a toddler that needs to be picked up the odd time, if it doesn't cause pain to do so you should be fine.

Depends on your physical condition. ASK YOUR DOCTOR, DO NOT TRUST STRANGERS HERE (you got answers from 2 to 30 lbs here! Who is right?)
Oh, and no matter what your doctor says, tell your man you are allowed to pick up no more than quarter of a pound (so he'll do everything for you...)

Of course, ask your doctor, but generally you shouldn't pick up anything greater than 25 pounds. It's not that it puts the pregnancy at risk; it puts your back at risk. As the uterus expands, the abdominal muscles no longer give support to your back muscles so when you're lifting things you have little back support. If you do have to pick something up, make sure to bend your knees.

typically nothing you would consider "heavy."
I life my laptop bag and my purse, nothing more.
I won't move boxes or lift heavy grocery bags either. Why take a chance?
