no, first of all it hurts. their is a great risk of infection, which would result in surgery.
she should enjoy life, although she might not see it this way, she should ask herself why she wants it, never do something because someone else is doin it.

it is okay, and slightly normal to feel different especially when you look or feel older.

Absolutely not. 12 year old KIDS (who cares if she looks 16? she's still not even a teenager) are so fickle - next month she won't want it anymore, she'll want something else. I got my navel pierced when I was 18 and regret it now that I've had a baby and it's just a nasty scar - and a nose piercing will leave a scar that can't be covered up.
I can't think of anything that I wanted/had/did at 12 that I'd be willing to live with for the rest of my life. She's a child, and there's a reason it's illegal for a child to get a piercing or tattoo. I PROMISE she will not want it in a few years, and she'll regret it if she gets it.
Not to mention any place that would pierce a 12 year old's septum - parental permission or not - is probably not a reputable enough establishment to get something like that done. If they don't feel a moral and ethical responsibility not to pierce a child, they probably aren't very professional and I don't know that I'd trust them with needles and my body!

Um I'll take bad ideas for a thousand Alex. Doesn't matter what age she looks like she is still 12. It's totally not cool at all. Kids should wait until they are 18 to make those decsions. Besides no peircing place with out parental supervison. They even check ID's.

I think that is a bit too young. Plus, most schools will not allow it anyway. What if she decides she does not want it anymore? She will have a little scar from it if she decides that she does not want it! Plus, when she gets older...most employers will not allow her to wear it either. I would wait until she gets older like 16-17 yrs old and she can pay for it herself. This will make her think about her choices better!!! Especially, if she is paying for it!

Twelve is too young, period!! No matter where it is on the nose. it does not matter if she looks 16, the fact is she is 12.

If she were my kid, not only would her nose hurt from the piercing, but her butt would hurt from the spanking.
I do not like facial piercings at all. No way would I permit a minor child of mine to have one. After she is 18, I could not do much to stop her, but that would give me six more years to convince her that it is a rotten idea.

the comments that say they hate face piercings and wouldnt let their children get them. it doesnt concern rather you like them or not your not the one getting it-its your kid that likes it but a bull nose ring is pretty wierd but if thats what she wants then let her have her own style as for bein 12 i would atleast wait till shes 14 im 17 now and i dont think i was able to make good decisions till i was atleast 14

well it would be kinda weird because most 12 year olds do not get their noses peiced!! i would tell her to wait at least untill she is 14 or about to turn 14!! and thats at least...i would wait untill 15 because what you like now and what you like in a few years is different!! 14 or 15 would be ok but i would go for 15...but its up to her and who ever takes her!!

No...and try to convince her not to. It always looks to me like people with nose rings have a booger or some kind of weird mole.

Your parents will have to consent, even if she "looks 16" because you have to be 18 to modify your body.
She should probably learn the name of the piercing before she asks anybody! (Its the septum.)
