You kind of have to let it run it's course unfortunately. I really liked Preggie Pops/Drops they helped out for the long commute in. You might want to ask the doctor for a prescription Prenatal vitamin or take it at a different time of day (right before bed) sometimes the prenatals make things worse. Good luck... you have only a few more weeks and you'll be feeling more like yourself again :)

I'm 11w,3d with my second child and I hate to bum you out, but you probably won't enjoy pregnancy until your second trimester. Morning sickness is a misleading name as well since it can hit at any time of the day or in your case (and in my case with my son) it can last all day. Try eating 6 small meals per day, that will be easier on your belly and make it less full. Progesterone, which is a hormone produced in abundance in pregnancy is killer on the digestive system, making food in the stomach digest more slowly causing indigestion and irritating morning sickness. If you eat less in one sitting that will help. It won't take the morning sickness away though. if it gets too bad ask your doctor for a prescription of zofran or phenergan. Those are anti-nausea medications that are safe to take while pregnant. The only other thing to do is wait till the 2nd trimester which will be here before you know it. My morning sickness is already easing up a lot, once I hit 11 weeks, it took til 14 weeks with my son. It will go away though. Hang in there.

Morning sickness can vary in degree. If it is so bad that you can't eat anything without throwing up then you need medical attention. However, if it is occasional vomitting accompained by nausea the that's normal.
They say that Ginger helps, I drank ginger ale when I had the nausea and if I felt like I would be close to throwing up I would have a cup full of dry cornfakes, a few dry marrieta biscuits. I also found that the only way to keep it at bay was to eat alot. as in eat little and often rather than big meals three times a day. Snacking usually helped me somewhat.
Congrats and all the best :0)

Doctors will give you something if you are vomiting every day because then they worry about dehydration.
However, if you only have nausea all day, they may not consider the benefits of taking drugs outweighs the negatives of possible side effects and/or effects on the fetus.
The two most commonly prescribed are Phenergan and Zofran. The first one works for some women but will not take away morning sickness totally. Look out because it makes you super sleepy so you can't really be driving or out and about while on it. Zofran is ridiculously expensive but almost always works - for most it takes away morning sickness entirely.
Good luck and hope you find something that works for you.

Your doctor will probably not prescribe anything unless the sickness is severe. Morning sickness is completely normal and will last probably until week 14-16. You do start feeling better in your second trimester which is around week 14-15. Good luck!! However, it never hurts to ask the doctor for relief.

Yes, there are medications to help morning sickness but usually a doctor will not prescribe them unless you are vomiting alot, because then there is the worry of dehydration and the benefits of taking medication outweigh the possible risks.
Phenergan is the mildest prescribed and helps many women, but not all. It makes you VERY sleepy. It's very reasonably priced.
Zofran is more powerful but costs ALOT - doctors will usually prescribe it only if you have severe nauseau AND vomiting every day.

I was just placed on Odersetron/Zofran today for severe morning sickness. I took my first pill about 3 hours ago, and I feel better than I have in a month! You should ask your Dr. about Phenegren, It's much cheaper, and more widely used for morning sickness...Good luck!

Yes there Is but you have to be really sick. They can give you depositories or put you on IVs. I Ways about 20 weeks and throwing up everything they put me on depositories. At 24 weeks the doctors started putting me on IVs once a week. I lost a lot of weight and was worried about the baby. I wa sick all the way through the pregnancy The good news your body won't reject the baby.

Yes, there is a medication. But I've heard it pretty much wipes you out and makes you sleep all day when you take it. Have you considered looking into a better prenatal vitamin, like the type a health food store would sell? I've heard better nutrients=less morning sickness.

The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed.
