im pregnant and i smoke..my doctor is well aware of my smoking and told me not to quit because it could cause stress to myself and the baby.so why do random people think they have the right to tell me i shouldn't smoke? I think i know that already.And i really feel like lashing out at them because its none of their concern.
how do i deal with these people? if my doctor doesnt see this as a concern then they shouldnt either!

When my husband told his parents that I was pregnant they promised us a crib and other things that they had in storage from his sister's last baby. His mom also told him she would have a baby shower for us as this is his first child. In the last few months they've had a falling out over something stupid and now his mom is saying she isn't having a shower and hasn't given any of the stuff she said she would. I'm 32.5 weeks and would really like to have the babies room ready soon but I have nothing. I want to ask her if we are still going to get the things she has or if I have to go out and buy them. How can I ask her without being rude? I know I still have time but we're on a tight budget and I need to know so I can accommodate this expense into my budget. I don't want her to feel pressured and back away from us even more but I really need to know if we're still getting this stuff. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My breast have went up almost a size or at least a size in the last month in a half they also have big rings around which have never been there and my blood vessel show more I have had three pregnancy test the all said negative to were blood I live with my boyfriend and we have unprotected sex all the time but he pulls out and I'm on birth control is there a chance of me being pregnant I need help this is been going on for about a month and I'm starting to worrie again

at my babies 8mth check she weighed 10.3 kg
i weighed her today and its 6 weeks later and shes still 10.3kg
if she was on the high side of the graph her whole 8mths, does she still have to keep gaining weight like she has been
or can she stay at this weight for a few months?

So I am over 9 and a half months pregnant....
I still dont have a middle name for my little one...

First name is Kennedy
Middle name needs to be 2 syllables
last name is 1 syllable and starts with a K...
so No middle name that starts with a K.. Please!!

I'm 30 years old, married and want a baby desperately. My concern is..in order to ovulate I need to take the pill. Which (obviously) means I am not going to get pregnant. My doctor is a bit of a dummy, so is there something else I should be taking or trying??

I have an 11 month old and am trying to get her more "big girl" foods and I have been reading that she should be eating the same foods that we eat just cut up into smaller pieces. The problem is that its just been my husband and I for so long that we don't always eat the best foods for dinner (frozen pizzas, etc.) I want to start making meals that we can all eat, any suggestions as to what is appropriate for her right now. Here's the situation: Their Dad & I were unmarried, we split up 2 years ago. He has been living with a woman who has a 14 yr old foster daughter. Last year my son started exhibiting some sexual behavior, I immediately took him to Children's Hospital, had a full examination which revealed he had not been physically violated. We saw all the Therapists and nothing ever came out from him that he was being abused. We went to PCIT (Parent Child Interactive Therapy) to help us learn to communicate better. The behavior he had exhibited ceased.

On Sunday night I witnessed him exhibiting similar behavior again. We talked about it and I later asked his 4 year old sister what he was doing. She told me it was something that he and the 14 year old did when at Daddy's house. I asked him again and he revealed the exact nature of the abuse. I called CPS, they interviewed her and she denied it. CPS came to my home yesterday and my son and daughter did not disclose anything to the worker. We are going

I find it amazing. I have been having problems with certain children in my street. After years of it, it thought of asking the parents of two of the children if they minded me telling the children to be careful round my car/ property. Some use that was, they took the hough and refuse to speak to us at all. (the parents and the children)Some parents need to face the consequences that their children are doing wrong, and that in the future they can't just take the hough when their teenage kids are causing havoc.

My niece turned two in June and she has maybe a ten word vocabulary. She hears ok and understands two-step commands, such as "throw this away and bring me this." She points and grunts when she wants something, and her mom taught her some sign language in her first year because mom's brother has hearing problems and she wanted her to be bilingual. We don't have a car, but did get a travel system with car seat which has been used occasionally. Unfortunately our very large 6 month old has just about outgrown it and I am hoping for some recommendations for a car seat that will mostly used by grandparents (who live some distance from me). I am in the UK, obviously want something very safe, but adaptable without spending too much money and will last for a while without needing replacing too soon. I am usually quite clued up about baby equipment, but not being a driver, don't have a clue about car seats- happy to purchase online or in store. Thanks!!

not my child but a child i am close to was pulled out of class and searched cause another student said he had drugs. he didnt have drugs. hes a freshmen, new school. didnt have a history in middle school. i understand school has right to search the child, locker even their cars. but something like that i feel parents should be called and told about this. am i the only one that feels this way? if it was my child i would be upset cause school didnt inform me.

I heard that you can't give a baby water because their bodies can't absorb it yet. And then I heard it's dangerous to give them honey. I'm not sure why though. What are some other things that babies absolutely cannot have? And when can you start giving them water and these other things? What are the side effects if you do give them these things? I'm just curious to know since this is my first baby. I don't wana poison the lil guy! haha. Thanks!
