I have a 14 mo. son and a husband who leaves at 730 for work, arrives home at 530-6pm. Between that time, I take care of son 110%. Every second he needs something or is crying constantly and I am BURNT OUT. There's no guaranteed breaks and barely a minute in the bathroom. I am also trying to diet and every meal, he's crying! 100% rushed.

I feel like an absolute slave or single mom. My husband gets mad when I complain saying 'how can I help I'm at work?' and gets defensive. I am with him 24 HOURS/DAY whereas he goes to work with adults and no screaming baby.

He's drinking way too much whole milk for his age, 1/2 the finger foods go on the floor, he prefers milk (is this typical?). Barely uses sippy (sees as toy). Walking, and always hurting himself being curious. So sick of crying!

My mom lives far and is always busy, his family is busy/awaiting new baby. 1 day he naps 3 hrs, next 30 mins.

He bats at my book, always hurts me: hits, throws, pulls hair. When will this get better?

My preemie is not getting full during her feedings and she's only two weeks old. She's already taking 8 oz at every feeding. I breastfeed and bottle feed her and it doesn't seem to be enough. She cries until I give her more. Any suggestions?

...this isn't a pregnancy/parenting question. After someone posts a question, there are three symbols after it: a thumbs up; a thumbs down; and a "report it". Obviously, I know what they mean and what they're for. What I can't figure out, however, is how to use them. How do you rate an answer??? I click on it, and it does nothing....

There was a question about letting a 3 1/2 year old drink from a sippy cup. I got 3 thumbs down for saying that breaking the habit was far overdue. I have a 3 1/2 year old who has been drinking froim a regular cup for 1 1/2 years now. Is my son advanced or am I right, a 3 1/2 year old should not be using a sippy cup?

How many of you, early in your first pregnancy were so concerned with the health of your child that you took a pregnancy test 2-3 months into pregnancy? Anyone? I haven't but I just want to know if anyone else worried like I am worrying...I have no reason to be overly concerned I am having a very normal pregnancy...no bleeding only the usual mild cramping...but for some reason I am having irrational fears about losing my baby...I am 3 monthd along...is this normal?

I want to breastfeed baby but I had a bad experience with my nipples chapping and hurting before. I am thinking about getting the breast pump and expressing milk for baby instead of feeding directly from the breast. Or should I even bother?

Ok so I called to report a neighbor for (1). mom being drunk all the time (2) letting her 13 yo drink with her (3) no food in house (4.) childern are left alone at all hours of the night...just to name a few reasons. Now I would never do this unless I knew for a fact there was a problem, well the case worker came to my house and asked me questions about the family..( beacuse I was watching the younger kids afterschool).I anwsered honestly. when I was talking to her the neighbors moms boyfriend came home and knew something was up...well he told the kids not to say anything (the kids told me) and they lied to the case worker. well now I hae the case worker questioning me! beacuse my story is SO diffrent then what the family said. even though I told the truth can I get in trouble?? I was only trying to help the kids.

Yesterday I took my 15 month old son to the park. First time I have in a while. My son was playing with a little girl who was about 2 yrs old her mom was ofcourse considerably younger then myself (Im 36) and she asked me "Do you have other children". I paused and changed the subject. The reason why I changed the subject is because on labor day of this yr my daughter passed away. She was 14yrs old and the light of my life the reason for 13 yrs that I woke up in the morning and the reason for every breath I took my world revolved around her (her brother was born 13yrs 1 month 15 days after her). 3 yrs ago my daughter was diagnosised terminally ill and was on a waiting list for a new set of lungs which we never got for her and had we got them no one knew if she'd be strong enough to undergo the transplant. Anyhow she beat all the odds from 12-03 until labor day of this yr and I was and AM so proud of her. On the thursday prior to labor day I found her unconcious and not breathing w spit

I say no, I would never expose any children to second hand smoke, especially in a car where they can't get away from it. Sadly, I see mothers doing this all the time. I'm sure they know the health risks, so why continue to do it?

Is it possible to feel the symptoms of pregnancy before you would test positive on home tests? I'm probably freaking out about nothing but my stomach has been feeling very sensitive lately and I've been feeling more tired than usual. My boobs aren't sore and I've taken a home test and it came out negative. I'm not due for my period for about 11 days.

**And don't worry, I take full responsibility for my actions. I do and always have understood the consequences of having sex. Although if I am pregnant I do wish it would have come later than sooner. But either way it would be a blessing to me.

I am 36 wks and 2 days pregnant and my blood pressure is jumping about all over the place. Several times in the past week it has reached 145/95, and I have had protien present in my urine samples. How high does my blood pressure need to go before I can request an induction? I'm starting to feel so down, and the constant trips to the hospital are more than slightly inconvienient as I must find childcare and get my husband out of work!

My son just turned one and I have caught his baby sitter laying him down flat on his back with a bottle and/or sippy cup. I know this can cause ear infections in younger babies. Isn't the same true for toddlers? I have rarely given him a bottle, he is breastfed. Surely the babysitter should know not to do this. She has been watching kids for years. I am sure that she does it just so that she won't have to worry about him. If this is the case I want to switch babysitters. She told me last night that the only way he will take his sippy cup is if he is laying down or propped way back.

I am going to say something to her this evening when I pick him up. This problem needs to be solved.
