My doctor told me that his experience has been that most women get pregnant by their third round of Clomid and a large majority by six rounds of Clomid.

Yes, the Clomid does make you get cycles...as in ovulating. Well, that is its intended purpose anyway. I believe my OBGYN said that it works about 80-85% of the time. You can have blood drawn between your 23 and 27 cycle day and have a progesterone serum test done to tell you if you are ovulating on Clomid. That is what my OBGYN had me do. Clomid has worked for me as far as regulating my cycle, but no pregnancy yet.

Good luck and tons of baby dust your way!!!!!!

Some PCOS women are resistant to Clomid and do not ovulate on it. I took it 5 times and never ovulated. I did ovulate on injectables though. You often just need stronger meds if you have PCOS and Clomid isn't very strong. Good luck.

Clomid helps induce ovulation in about 80% of women who take it. Of those who ovulate, about half get pregnant within 6 cycles of clomid. If you ovulate on clomid then yes, you will have a period, but if you don't ovulate then you most likely won't get a period. Good luck and baby dust!!!

on average it takes 3 rounds of Clomid for you to get pregnant, sometimes up to 6, also some doctors prescribe both clomid and metformin for PCOS patients to help them even more, u might want to ask your doctor about that, you can also ask a doctor online for free for their opinion, try ww.FertilityTies.com
good luck!

I was in a similar situation, I unfortunatly didn not ovulate on Clomid. I had to see a specialist ,we induced my period and I was using Gonal F and Menopur. This worked and my hormone levels this month were perfect. Good luck
