Pregnancy & Parenting - 13 September 2007

I’m planning on writing a short story (probably not published, though I may consider it) and I can't think of the right names. So any help you guys out there have is greatly appreciated. So these are fictional characters, but I don’t see why exactly it would matter.

The main characters are triplet girls, age 10-14 (Haven’t decided exactly what age yet… it’s just in the planning stages).

Here are some combos I’m thinking of

1.
Triplet A: Jordan/Jordyn Elise/Elyse (the two ‘y’ names would not be used together, so either Jordyn Elise or Jordan Elyse)
B: Renee Adele
C: Riley Hope (Not sure about the Riley and Renee combo, because of the double R, but I like the names)

2.
A: Jordan Michelle
B: Amelia Renee
C: Riley Christine

3.
A: Jacqueline/Jacquelyn Elise
B: Renee Michaela
C: Adelaide Rachelle

Those are just some of the top ones I have. The first one is my absolute favorite. You can change them around all you want, add new ones, ect.

Ok I am 23 weeks pregnant and about 3 weeks ago I started this job at the bank. I feel so confused because I dont know how to tell my boss about my pregnancy. I dont know if I should give 2 weeks notice when I am close to delivery or just ask them if they would excuse my absence and be able to keep my job. I just be feeling so tired in the morning lately that I cant get up and its so hard to get to work on time. When I get up in the morning I feel awful which may have given them a bad impression.

i have twins. my daughter picks up things and concepts very fast, but my son although knows how to place alphabets on the activity board doesnt call out abc, or numbers. but can sing film songs when in mood. throws a tantrum or speaks other things to simple questions as what is his name etc. calls out for a fruit of his choice but when i ask him to name fruits he wont tell me. at times he tells poems but wont tell other things. how should i make him learn and more importan is to make him speak new concepts as in numbers, alphabets, poems, colours, name of animals, fruits etc.

I think even if it is a bogus threat, parents need to know so that we can help our children with any questions but the school thinks otherwise. What do you other parents think??

Ok, so I go over to my best friend's house, and I lay on his couch in only my boxers (he's gay, that's why I'm so comfortable doing that around him). Later I learn that about 45 minutes-1 hour before I came over, he had a nocturnal emission on the couch. He was in only his underwear when it happened, and he was laying on his stomach, but he also wasn't absolutely positive that anything got onto the couch.

Just to add a few more details---I am on "the pill" (continuously) because I have PCOS and Endometriosis. However, I will occationally take it a little late (because I don't use it to prevent pregnancy) but the latest I have ever taken it is about a half hour late.

So, what are the chances of me having gotten pregnant from the semen that was *possibly* on the couch?

p.s. Although I was only in my boxers, I did have a folded tissue wedged in between my vaginal lips, because I tend to get a dark discharge when I'm expecting my period.

I have pcos and I have been on femara(4 months) and meformin(12 months). I have just had my IUI on 9-11 and i have been have this lil light cramp on and off since my IUI. It is not a ovary cramp..Now i am on CD 19.My best friend and mother think it is a early prego sign. IS IT??

My child is 2.5 months old, i wanted to offer her bottle milk when i go out but she refuses to take either the formula or breast milk pumped. Pls advice me how to habituate her to bottle as it causes me a great problem when i go out.

my sister had her baby 2 months early and the doctors couldnt find a possible reason why she had the baby so early. the doctor than said it is possible all her babies will be premature. i know this can really put a person down and wanted to know whether this is true? i mean has anyoe had a premmie the 1st time but the rest on time? please let me know so i can reasure my sister if its not true. thnx so much!

Do i have a say so when it comes to being in labor at the hospital?? For example do i have to have an IV and do i have to have an episiotomy (If its not needed) I just want to know what things i do have control over.And if i have some control how do i tell my nurses and doctor without sounding controlling..I fully understand that if something went wrong or if they have concerns its all their decision thats fine but if everything is normal, i would like to be involved.

My daughter is 10 in December. Her father is supposed to get her on weekends. Well i have been fighting this problem with her since she was 4. She never wants to go and if i force her she cries for hours on end talking about how she hates it there and she hates teh way he treats her. She's old enough now to have friends and sleep over's so she wants to go to her friends house the whole weekend, so she called and told her dad that she did not want to go this weekend. He told her that she has no choice and he will be there to pick her up and she better be ready. After 6 yrs of forcing this child to do this i feel it's only hurtnig her more and more every time i do so and i dont' know what to do, so i am asking for opinions and help. Okay, I work first shift, I get off at 5:00pm. My husband works second shift, and he does not get off until midnight, after he goes in at 3:30pm.I have a seven year old boy and a three year old boy. I pick them up every day from my Mother's house, but once I get home, I feel soooo sleepy. I have gone to sleep for an hour or more before with them but I feel bad because my oldest is going to school and if I get him to go to sleep earlier then he will not be sleepy around 11:00pm, which is his normal bedtime.Is this alright? I mean, I know that if I put him in bed again at 11:00 he will probably sleep, but that means that I cannot get him to sleep anymore than like an hour in the evening right? Please advice, I just get home so tired sometimes and I have to give them a bath, cook, etc. and sleeping normally gives me a "fresh and wake up feeling"

My Goddaughter is pretty over weight. Seriously. She is 15 months old and her parents go to a McDonalds and oder her a Happy Meal and she can get pretty far on it. She eats pure crap. Anyways I was watching her for an hour and it turned into a lot more than that and she was getting hungry. So I gave her some organic apple sauce and apple juice. Her mother came to pick her up and was very upset that I didnt microwave her mini hamburgers that she likes. I told her b/c we had healthier options available and she enjoyed the Apple sauce and apple juice. She then gave her some of her moutain Dew!!! b/c she was asking for it. She said she wasnt angry but next time could i please give her what she asks to give her daughter. I would be so pleased if someone gave my child organic apple sauce and organic apple juice over microwaved burgers. Was I wrong? What can I do? I do not have kids, so I may be in the total wrong.

I know this sounds horrible.. and i dont mean for it too. i am so happy to have been blessed with another child. I am just scared. Me and my husband have a daughter who will be two in january and she is our life! She is just now to the age where we can go and do just about anything with her.. like get up and ride around town in our jeep with the top off... take her to the park and the best part of my day is at night when she is sleepy she will say come on mommy and daddy and we will all get in the bed and play for a while before she falls asleep.. (yes she still sleeps with us).. things are just so simple and care free with the three of us.. We are having a little boy next month.. and i am scared. scared of not loving him as much as my daughter.. scared of my daughter not getting the attention she loves getting and feeling left out.. and just scared of not having the 3 of us time we do now.. please dont take this the wrong way. we are excited about our baby boy.. just very scard.???

I just recently had an abortion and before hand I was looking on here for other peoples experinces and how it turned out.

a) using profanity and telling people you are going to burn in hell, well if you really want people to not choose abortion you catch more flies with honey!

b)do you really think blasting people who have ALREADY HAD an abortion will make them go get the featus and stick it back in them (heads up if you really do, it dosen't work that way)

c)I have also had a full term pregnacy that almost killed me (before my abortion) that I gave up for adoption. Adoption his harder emotionally because you will always know the kid is out there and could die and you not know. You don't know all the facts and if these people's abortions are medically nesscary and don't tell people to do adoption untill all the orphans who are too old, too fat or didn't match the family's funiture that don't ever get adopted find homes.

I have pcos, I did clomid 50mg for 2 cycles, 100mg for 1 cycle, I am now currently on metformin, because I am not ovulating on clomid alone, I am not over weight, my dr perscribe provera to me to jump start my period this cycle, and told me to start taking clomid day 3 of my cycle for 5 days, any one conceive taking provera then starting clomid whiles on metformin
