Any tips on conceiving a little boy??

I already have one(7), but back then I wasnt trying.I have read tons of stuff on conceiving a boy, but Id rather hear it from real opinions/experience/technics lol.

P.S. My son WAS planned, just not his sex,and I am very greatfull.If you have nothing nice to say,go find another question to answer please...

Some suggest: having sex very very close to the time you would ovulate. This gives the shorter lifespan Y chromosome (boy) sperm the best chance at fertilizing your egg. I hear this method has a 50% chance of success.

There's a whole list of things you can do to conceive a specific sex, but none of it is scientifically proves to work. The following may help:

You may come across many ideas of how to achieve conceiving the sex of your choice. Some of the methods you may discover can entail monitoring the cycles of the moon, sleeping on a certain side or even centrifuging your partner's sperm in hopes of separating the "male" sperm (sperm carrying the Y chromosome) from the "female" sperm (sperm carrying the X chromosome). Some ideas sound downright absurd while others have potential. Unfortunatly, none of these ideas have ever been proven to be successful.

One of the more popular methods for conceiving a particular sex involves the timing of intercourse. Sperm carrying the X chromosome are larger, heavier and slower than sperm carrying the Y chromosome. It takes them longer to reach the egg than the Y sperm. This has led some researchers to believe that it may be possible to choose the sex of your baby based on the timing of intercourse. If you want a girl, have sex three to four days prior to ovulation and then stop. Do not have sex again until after you are sure you have ovulated. This will give your partner's lumbersome X sperm time to get to the egg, thus increasing your chances for conceiving a girl. If you want a boy, do not have sex until the day of ovulation. Your partner's quicker Y sperm will reach the egg first. Sperm live up to five days so do not worry that having intercourse several days prior to ovulation can ruin your chances for conceiving.

Since the sex depends upon the male, there is no sure fire way to conceive a boy. Look at Henry the Eighth...blamed the wives. OK, OK, I know, medical advances have put reproductive medicine light years ahead, but you get the point. Contact a gynecologist or reproductive specialist to see what methods may be available to increase the male to female ratio in the sperm or make the male sperm more energetic. A lot is genetic on the part of your husband/boyfriend/SO. Good Luck!

You can try the Shettles method for a boy.
Im using it right now to try for a girl.

To Get A Boy (According to Shettles):

Time intercourse as close to ovulation as possible: The idea is that since the Y-chromosome sperm are faster than the X-chromosome sperm, there will be more Y-chromosome sperm who reach the egg, making it more likely that a Y-chromosome carrying sperm will fertilize the egg.
Abstain from intercourse for four to five days prior to ovulation. Have intercourse only just at the time of ovulation and just before.
Have intercourse that allows for deep penetration. Shettles recommends rear-entry (aka, “doggy-style”). The idea is that the sperm will be deposited closer to the cervix where cervical fluid is most friendly to the Y-chromosome sperm and where the “boy sperm” are more likely to survive since there is less distance to travel.
Men avoid tight clothes: heat kills off both types of sperm, but will kill off the less protected, smaller Y-chromosome sperm faster, according to Shettles.
Women have an orgasm: According to Shettles, female orgasm increases the alkaline secretions in the vagina that are favorable to the Y-chromosome carrying sperm. Shettles recommends having an orgasm before or at the same time as the male partner.

I actually have a bun in the oven now that I'm waiting to see if it will be a boy after using techniques I learned on there. Good luck, and ignore the people that don't know!

I read an article about gender selection a few weeks ago. There are things that you can do that may improve your chances, such as having sex in certain positions on the day that you ovulate because male sperm swim faster than female sperm and would meet the egg fastest. Just do some research on the internet and try your best :)

There is no guarantee but there are a few methods first you have to pinpoint exactly when you are going to ovulate and make sure you have sex 12-24 hours before ovulation. Do it doggier style it's the best position to get the spermies up there.

I think it's always 50/50
But when I got pregnant with my first, and my husband wanted to know if I wanted, I told him I wanted a boy and I got it. My second I wanted a girl, but then I would change my mind and not know what I wanted, but in the end I got my girl. Guess what I want for the 3rd.

TWINS- a boy and a girl. I wonder if me just thinking about having twins will work? Seems it worked the first and second time.

It's all luck of the draw, and it all comes from the man. The man's contribution determines the sex.

You can writhe any which way, you can drink herbal tea, you can listen to Barry White albums, and you can utter mystic incantations...but it's all a matter of which sperm gets to the ovum first.

Other than that, go the test tube route and see if the doctors can pick you a sperm with a Y chromosome.

An old woman once told me that the sperms carrying the male gene are faster than the ones carrying the girl gene, so have your man 'save up' for a few days and then go for it!
