Ok I am 23 weeks pregnant and about 3 weeks ago I started this job at the bank. I feel so confused because I dont know how to tell my boss about my pregnancy. I dont know if I should give 2 weeks notice when I am close to delivery or just ask them if they would excuse my absence and be able to keep my job. I just be feeling so tired in the morning lately that I cant get up and its so hard to get to work on time. When I get up in the morning I feel awful which may have given them a bad impression.

I know I should have told them but I was so happy to get the job and wanted to get atleast some experience but know I dont know what to do or say. I would love to stay working there but I believe maternity leave is after a year or so and I just started. I doubt they would accomidate me because I just started.

you don't have to quit your job at all. you should have told them when you got the job that you were preganant if you knew, but other than that as long as your over the 3 month probabtion period you can take materinaty leave when you get close to your due date

Let them know about your pregnancy, the longer it goes the more it will upset them and look bad for you, they can't fire you because of the pregnancy, but getting time off ahead of time for the delivery and recommended 6 weeks after would be the best plan. You need to start getting up and going to work on time, they won't want you to keep working there if they think your incompetent, and that's if your pregnant or not. If you're already having a hard time getting to work at 28 weeks it's only get harder the further along your pregnancy gets. Maybe you could talk to them about coming back after the baby is born, so they don't think your tardiness is really how your work ethic is, maybe you could switch shifts or only work part time so that you have time to get going in the morning. You don't need more unnecessary stress. Just be honest and think though a plan before you see your boss, if they see that you've been giving this some thought then you'll be giving them an example of what kind of employee you are and will be in the future. Good Luck.

You want to tell your boss - but they can't discriminate against you because you are pregnant. I think legally - you don't have to disclose it at your interview. You can't ask for a leave of absence right now - because you did just start. If you are in your probationary period, they could let you go. You will want to work up until 36 weeks pregnant. That will put you past your probationary period most likely and secure your job. You're going to feel tired at the moment. There are some days where you feel so fatigued and then there are others that you feel energetic.

I stood on my feet 8hrs a day when I was pregnant. I found that eating a good breakfast with lots of proteins always made me feel better. You want to stay away from the carbs - bagels, muffins, cereals. They turn into sugars and your body digests them quicker, and you have a "sugar" crash which may make you very light headed. Stick with eggs, cheese, ham, sausage, etc. Your body won't digest them as quickly, keeping your body satisfied longer.

Good luck!

Just take your boss to the side and tell them. Is it a man or woman? sometimes the oppostite sex understands better. At least it did in my situation. They have to give you your job back. That is discrimnation if they dont. My job tried that with me and they didn't win.. But make sure to let them know your due date, also you doc will let you know when its time to take maternity leave. Everything should be fine. Just make sure your going back though because if not then they will need to fill the position and giving them a notice is always a good thing. Good Luck!

My first job while I was pregnant, I was 4 months and I didnt tell my boss....I went to work the one day and felt dizzy so I went to sit down and passed out....after I got out of the hospital my boss needed to see my paperwork and of course it said I was pregnant and she was very understanding about it and wished i wouldve told her earlier so she wasnt out in the blue....well i wasnt getting enough hours working for her so i got a new job and i was 8 1/2 months and of course they could tell and they were extremely understanding and helpful with my schedule and maternity leave. You need to tell them ASAP, they won't fire you if your a good employee, and you'd be surprised at how helpful they can actually be. if they know that you ARE going to come back after you take maternity leave, they will be even more helpful. but yes you do need to tell them and don't wait. because what if something happens at work and the ambulance comes and does something that can harm your baby, no one at work can tell them that your pregnant cause no one knows.....so make an appointment with your boss and tell them ASAP...good luck.

Don't tell them yet. Just do your best. Go to bed early and try to get extra sleep. Unless you're really showing and it's totally noticeable, don't tell them until you've been there a month or two! Most companies are required to hold your position open for 6 weeks of maternity leave- you won't get paid in that time, but your job will be waiting when you come back.

I'm 23 one million/two weeks pregnant and I understand while I modified my nutrition and began consuming extra culmination and veggies, I began having softer inexperienced bowel events that appeared practically like diareah in comparison to my bowel events earlier than I modified my nutrition...I suppose so long as you preserve hydrated, you can be ok, except the diarreah maintains, then I might name my OBGYN. Good success!

I worked at a bank when I was pregnant and you had to be there a year to get maternity leave. Ask you boss if she will hold your position (you will not get paid) till you return. My manager loved me and was going to do this for me. I would talk to him or her to see if this option was available and if they would let you do it. It wouldn't hurt to ask.

won't you start showing soon? you should probably let them know you are pregnant so they don't shame you when you look like you are having a bad day all the time! then you can find out the policy for when they have women go on leave after having a baby.

Talk to your boss about it and if you are unable to work, your job will give you maternity leave. Also go to the doctor and get him to write a note to your employer about taking time off. They have to go by your doctor's wishes.
