My daughter is now 3 weeks old and still has Dark grey eyes, the first week or so she had a tiny hit of dark blue but not much and now i am starting to see a hint of brown so they are slowly but surely changing:)
It can take up to a year for a babies eye color to fully set to it's color there is no definite time.
I hope i helped!

My son's eyes were a dark grey blue at first and within 3 weeks they started turning brown. But I have read it could take up to a year for some babies' eyes to change color. It usually happens with in the first 6 months though.

No. My husband is 1/2 Japanese, he was born with blue eyes which eventually turned a light brown. His sisters were born with brown/dark eyes which pretty much stayed that way. Our daughter which is 1/4 Japanese was born with dark blue eyes. She is now 2 1/2 years old and her eyes are blue/gray/green but pretty much mostly blue. It can take a year for the eyes to change. My sister was born with blue eyes and her eyes changed to green when she was about 2 or 3.

Actually... I've done some research on this, and there's some controversy.

According to ethnicity - African American, and some Asian and Native American cultures say that there is some dark pigment to the baby's eyes when born, but they are still considered blue.

All other Caucasian decents have blue when born, then after about two months of exposed light, they begin to finalize the color they will ultimately be.

Eye Pigment in the womb is one of the last things to develop though.

It's a general consensus, however, that all babies are born with blue (or lightly colored) eyes.

Maybe, maybe not. Babies of African and Asian descent are usually born with brown eyes that stay brown. Caucasian babies are often born with steel gray or dark blue eyes; they may stay gray or blue or turn green, hazel, or brown by the time they're 9 months old. That's because a child's irises (the colored part of the eye) may gain more pigment in the months after she's born, but they won't get "lighter" or more blue. (Green, hazel, and brown eyes actually have more pigment than grey or blue eyes, even if they appear lighter in color.)

Not all, but most, are born with blue eyes. Most begin to change if they will by 3 weeks. Some eyes can appear to change colour for a good few years though.
Brown eyes are genetically dominant ober blue, so it is likely but not certain your baby's eyes will change colour.

I have 3 girls (white skined) the first 2 were born with dark brown eyes that slightly lightened and the third was born with vivid blue eyes and at 3 they are still blue but slightly lighter. So not all babies are born with blue eyes.

not ALL babies are like this, but some of them are. They are born with baby blue eyes and then after anything from 3days to 2 weeks, they change colour. This only applies for some babies..x

hope this helps..x
