My little boy has been vomiting this evening, he vomited his lunch up and then has been a little more sick a few times after. It's getting close to bed time and i was wondering if i should give him his milk ( like i normally would)

No. His stomach should be allowed to settle for four hours; the only thing he should have is an electrolyte solution or white soda to prevent dehydration, given in sips (to prevent dehydration). Milk curdles in a sour stomach. After vomiting has stopped, reintroduce a bland diet: boiled chicken, boiled potatoes, white rice, etc. Avoid seasonings, butters, etc. until his stomach is better.

Dairy isnt good when your childs vomiting stick to juices not sugar drinks and crackers. Once he stops puking id wait 24 hours before giving him milk. Try pedialite or sprit but becuase of the carbonation open the lid and leave it sitting on the the counter to let the air out the air may cause an uspet stomach

No unless he wants he and then very little. Water is best but if he is still vomiting tomorrow take him to the doctor or if it worsens overnight get medical advice. Make a note of the times he is sick. and what he has had to eat. If he has a temperature perhaps it would be an idea to get advice now. You can not afford to delay much with a little one. it is probably just something that will sort itself out, but keep an eye on him

It is best NOT to dive dairy to the vomiting child. Small amounts of water, juices (no OJ), chicken broth...I mean small like a tsp every 5 minutes...
I know that it sucks, but trust me it works. My 3 year old had the same thing about a month ago, and this is what his Ped told me to do. Also, you can offer sugar free popsicles, gatorade (all in small amounts).

Be sure that he is peeing atleast 1x every six hours. IF he doesn't, he is likely dehydrated and needs to be seen.

Hugs, Been there and done that...Hope he feels better soon!!

maybe you should call nhs 24 for some advice on this and make sure he hasnt got a temperature. i wouldnt advise on giving him any milk and understand the frustration you are going through, you could maybe try some cooled boiled water with a touch of sugar in it as i found when my kids were sick this was the only thing they would drink and stops de-hydration, hope your little boy is feeling better in the morning.

For some people, milk will actually settle their stomach. But ginger ale works wonders for vomiting.

Dairy is bad when your sick best thing to do is give him small sips of water often don't let him drink it to quick or he will throw it up again and if he still can't keep anything down tomorrow take him to his GP little ones can dehydrate very quickly.

no it's best to keep him off milk for 24 hours. if he has a bug the milk will just sour his tummy and make him feel worse. just give him some cooled boiled water.

No, when my son had a tummy bug, my doctor advised me not to give him any milk or dairy products until he had stopped being sick. I gave my son water, or very weak juice instead.

If he has a virus that is causing this vomitting, then no. Any dairy product will likely curdle in his stomach and cause worse sickness.
