She can stay like that, my son was 11.8 kg at 8 months and at 18 months he is only 12.2 kg. He is much taller though.

He is only now starting to get to the point that I wouldn't want him to loose much more fat.

As long as she is moving, happy, and growing taller it isn't usually a concern.

No your babies will gain up to a certain point and then will kind of stay the same for awhile if not loose a little. Babies become more active during the day causes them to slim out some and eat more but also burn more. My son at his 4 month appointment was 21 pounds and now at his 6 month he was only 22.

Has she gotten more mobile? It may be that she's just burning more calories so she's maintaining her current weight. They can't keep gaining the way they did as infants or else they'd be 50lbs in a blink of an eye. Eventually the weight gain starts to level out and they start to follow more of their genetically determined growth curve. For example, my daughter was born 2+ weeks late and was in the greater than 99th%ile. She maintained the 80th-90th%ile until she started crawling and walking. Now she is in the less than 5th%ile. The doctor isn't concerned because she continues to eat a lot and she's always on the go. Plus my husband and I are lean. Don't worry about it unless your doctor tells you there is a need to worry. She's probably fine. :)

im guessing she is starting to crawl and move around so she is burning energy. all my kids did this around this age. Next few months she will start walking and lose a little weight because of so much excercise. She will also get harder to feed because she will want to keep moving. She will start to get taller and thinner looking t. She is growing into toddler stage. Now is also the time to put up everything in your house because anything below 2 1/2 3 foot will be drooled all over and broken lol Im a mom of 3 Good LUck

Babies need the extra fat, she'll be fine. They need to continually gain weight for the first couple of years.

Maybe you need to talk with the Pediatrician and see what is going on. Take care..

As far as she is healthy and active you need not worry.Maybe she has started crawling so she huffs and puffs a bit.You dont need her to be fat- just active and healthy.
