I know it's a city name, but has anyone ever heard of it used as a baby name for either a boy or a girl?

If so, does anyone know about the meanings attached to the name?

I searched on 'Jeddah' and came up with nothing, but I did find information on the similar spelling 'Jedda'.

Jedda is the name of the second-largest city in Saudi Arabia. It is unisex, apparently meaning jet-black stone.

Yes, I've heard it here (without the H) a couple of times in Australia. I have no idea what it means but I can't say I really like the name.
