Was an accident before Xmas 06 hitting the glass coffee table edge and cut his lip sharp and long. Is it really still too young now (18-m) for doing anything?.... Any real good practical and tried treatment? He is even quite over-reacted and too scared to show doctors the wound after months of the accident. So doctors could hardly examin the scar. It is actually almost 2 cm long (0.5cm on lower lip and 1.5cm on face) Im so so upset and worried.

My husband and I are considering starting a family and I need a great OBGYN who ideally is associated with Hoag Hospital, Newport Beach, CA. We just moved to the area and need to find a great doctor. Can anyone recommend someone that they have had a great experience with - through childbirth, etc? Thanks in advance!

I have heard so many wives tales for pregnant women, from the way you carry the baby to not reaching for something over your head. I personally don't believe in a lot of them because they are, well...tales. Are there any that actually carry some merit and have been proven (not just an opinion) to be true?

See, there's this boy at school, and I don't really know who he is. I saw him a lot at school last year, and I see him a bit sometimes this year, mostly around lunchtime, and I'd like to get to know him, except 1) I don't think he knows who I am, 2) he's a grade above me so we don't have any classes together and 3) he's rarely - if ever - by himself...he's always in a group with at least 2 people. =[ Any ideas?

k if your not into graphics, than dont read this

about a little over a year ago i experienced an injury to myself. i had a 5-6 inch tear inside me along the wall and i had to get surgery in order to get it stitched up. so now there is a whole lot of scar tissue. i have been trying to concieve with my husband for about six months now, which i know isnt very long, but. i came across a comment from another member and i realized it never occured to me. but the could the scar tissue be the reason i am having problems getting pregnant. and i know i need to go see a doctor but i want some feedback from anyone who experienced something similar or who knows cause you know only science goes so far.........

I have a 9 year old son (with DS) and a 4 year old daughter (no DS). Occasionally, I have other people's children ask me about why my son doesn't talk. How do you respond to it? How can I teach my daughter to respond? One time, a child said that he "doesn't talk" or he "can't talk".....I just said that some day, he WILL talk and that he is just taking a long time. My daughter seems to know and understands that he doesn't talk (in sentences - only single words) and she doesn't ask me about it. She is a little chatter-box. Should we involve her in helping to teach my son to talk?

I like Aidan, and Elliot. We are both hispanic so he wants something that sounds spanish. A few names he likes are Zacharias, Modesto, Sebastián, and Ezequiel. I don't like any of the names he does. Can someone help me find uncommon spanish sounding names. We both don't want names that are common like Jose, Jesus, Juan or Mario. Well you get the idea. (Our sons name is Carlos Roberto.) We named him after my husband and my dad. So know we need something different. Please HELP!

I heard a very loud banging sound and when I went to see what it was I saw my son (3 yrs old) was opening the door to my daughter's room (4 months old) and banging it shut over and over. She was taking a nap in there! So I grabbed him by his wrist and I placed him in his room. But when I was walking away I heard him crying hard and holding his wrist. Just the way he was crying it made my stomach feel like it was turning. So I watched to make sure he could move it and he could and it seemed to not hurt as much as time went by. I went in a few minutes later and asked him if it hurts and he said a little. I had him move it around a lot and that didn't hurt him so he is now ok, but I feel so bad though!! Has anyone grabbed their child out of anger and seriously injured them when placing him/her in time out or in their room, etc?

Posted a similar question yesterday, but hoping to get a few more takes on this. I have been married for a few years and have a 7mo.child. During the pregnancy we didn't have sex for 8mos, then for almost 5mos after. Although I try to make her feel sexy, lots of back and foot rubs, etc, I didn't press the issue during the pregnancy. When we finally had sex, she had pain (yes, we have plenty of foreplay, lube) and some bleeding afterward. She's been to a doctor, who has done plenty of tests and finds nothing wrong. I understand the pain is real, and I don't want to hurt her. On the other side, because she is unwilling to find a solution that doesn't include vaginal intercourse, I am feeling my needs are being pushed to the side. This is not just about "getting off" it's about taking care of each other, and we need to find balance. I know she still has a sex drive, she sometimes uses a toy (non-penetrating) when I'm out of town. Please Help! Am I being unreasonable? Any solutions?
