Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 February 2007

My wife and I have had the desire to become intimate without condoms and I have been cumming inside every time. About a month ago, she recieved the depo shot and we refrained from intercourse to ensure that we were in the clear even though the doctor said it is effective within 24 hours.
Being newlyweds, we both realy enjoy the intimacy and closeness we share with me finishing inside her every time but also have a strong desire to wait until I finish grad school and she is more established in her career to have children.
I've searched around on the web for a dirrect answer, but it appears that the topic is danced around. I have always been under the impression that Depo Provera and other birth control is to allow a man to cumm inside his partner without the fear of conception. The way it sounds on the net is that birth control is an extra barrier of protection, not a free ticket to cumming inside my wife without impregnating her. Someone please help by providing facts!

Question for pregnant ladies only!?
Apart from ceasarian,After you give birth, that is if you have a normal pregnancy, do females get stitches on their vagina? does your vagina ever get back to the normal size like it was before? If yes what can be done to get it back to normal?

We plan on naming our boy Micah James. I have heard mixed reviews and I think of Micah-pronounced Mike-uh sounds very masculine. But I have heard of people thinking it as a girls name. Honestly I have not heard this as a girls name, but was wondering what your opinions were.

I was told to avoid nuts while I was pregnant but now my son has been born I'm dying for pistachios. I know you shouldn't feed nuts to kids under 4 but is it ok for me to have them, even if I'm breastfeeding?

ok its sunday and my period is due on tuesday.I had a feeling i was pregnant for a while because i could just feel it and also because i had almost every preg symptom out there.Yesterday i noticed when i went to the toilet and wiped a clump of cm looking stuff that was brown was there but after that it went back to normal clear discharge once that happened i had a feeling it was implantation so i did hpt today and it came up positive(faint line but was definatly there)but about an hour after the positive test i went to the toilet and when i wiped there was pink blood on the paper about 20 cent piece worth in two spots and then i looked into the toilet and there was thin stream of light pink blood going down into the water i keep checking and i still have a bit of brown blood and a bit of pink blood and brown water coming out (enough to use a panty liner) weird thing is about 20 mins after the first blood came out i had an hour of servere morning sickness and i have no cramping?help!!

I got up this morning to go to the toilet and felt normal , part from having period like pains and B Hicks every 30mins the last few days, then when i was getting ready for a shower i could feel something down my tighs and it was very watery, white'ish and definitely not urine...it wasn't masses though but could this be i have started leaking? has happended twice now in the last half hr.
Feeling a bit embarrased calling the midwife incase it's nothing. Pls help!

i want a healthy happy baby in 9 months.
i just found out i was pregnant and i'm only 17.
that father is 19 but in the navy.
i really don't want to burden him nor his family nor my family with the responsibilty of my...well my child.
i don't beleive he or she is a mistake...because it was my descion to have sex.

So I am probably going to offend alot of people with this, so stop reading if you are sensitive on this subject. Firstly I am 21 and I grew up in a small town and 95% of my girlfriends from school have had kids already, starting when we were 16. I always thought that we would grow up, move to the city, go to uni, just have fun being young together. But I was the only one that did this, now when I see them I feel like im the odd one out becaue I dont have kids?? What??? Im sorry but this is not normal, healthy or good for them or the kid. Why has this become so prevalent? I just think its stupid, they cant really afford to have kids or know how to raise children, most dont even have a male around and the ones that do are going out with neanderthals.

Anyway I just want to know what everyone else thinks about this? If you disagree please let me know any explain why?

Hi i have a 10 month old baby, he wakes up about 5 to 8 times per night, he does falls asleep at his own ( with some crying) but keeps waking up, sometimes every hour or so, i am very tired because as soon as i fall asleep he is up, is there any method execpt crying it out? Please help, and he is using a pacifier and still eats up to 6-8 oz per night. Thank you

i had a misscariage in september which i had no idea about till i went for my first scan then the baby didnt come out so i had to have a d and c done that was in september and we have been trying ever since

we planned for the pregnancy and i fell pregnant 4 months after coming off the pill
why is it taking so long this time?

I was just wondering. My doctor told me that you are supposed to count 14 days from the start of your period not after. I was just wondering. I was just wondering. I don't have regular periods so had to rely on ovulation test kits every day. I also have hypothyroidism. I was just wondering why. My doctor told me that this system was wrong. Does anyone know why this is? He also said to have sex from day 10 to day 14.
