has anyone ever heard of the contraceptive patch its a patch you stick on your arm and it works like the pill has anyone ever used one? whats it like? did it work for you? im 17 and on the pill but dont really like taking it and i heard of this the other day do you think it would be suitible for me?

Why such the opposition to the name Brooklyn? Especially on a girl? Yes, it happens to be the name of a city, but it could also be the names Brooke and Lynn put together to come up with the name Brooklyn. And yes, it's becoming sort of popular. Do those of you who are opposed to the name think that it is too masculine? Too associated with New York? I see it as 2 femenine names (Brooke and Lynn) put together and don't even associate the name with New York until I'm reminded of it. But that's just me. I'm due in 3 weeks and am pretty set on this name for my 3rd child, but still need to come up with a middle name.

I'd like to get opinions on both sides of the issue here. Please share.

gave birth 7 and half weeks ago and am back in a size 6-8 clothes. Problem is when im naked in front of mirror my shape has changed a bit on my hips. I have no muscle watsoever in my bum stomache and waist and my skin feels loose. not alot just when i sit down. i still have a linea negra and my whole belly button has gone dark brown. i didnt get big during pregnancy, i was all baby and have no stretchmarks. im 25 years old and this is first baby. I feel really emotional about my now body image any suggestions or am i destined to stay this way with dark mars on my body?

my little boy often wakes during the night , he doesnt know why but once awake he cannot get back to sleep because he is nervous of every little noise and shadow, i put him in with me but have to move things in my room which scare him like a hat or washing , which he says look like a person , he thinks 'bad guys' can get in the house so i show him how i lock the doors and windows, but our sleep is suffering and i am worried about him . any one have any answers ?

I'm just wondering how normal this is? I have a fetal ultrasound scheduled in a couple of days, but I am overweight and read that its even harder to see a baby that way. Should I be worried there is no baby?

i missed my period by like a week now I spotted one spot 2 weeks or so ago. I'm irregular like every 38 days i get af. I tested before my missed period and like 3 and 4 days after. the conception calculator says that i woud be 4 weeks and 5 days along if i were am i testing too soon?? how far along were you before you got a positive hpt. ???

Actually it more like a dull thob period pain does this make sense and is it normal at this stage. I have no bleeding. Got appointment with midwife next week.

Since he has a BM like clockwork every morning when we get up - I'm considering buying a little potty and sitting him on it first thing for a try. He is not even walking yet.. is this wishful thinking? Moms any pearls of wisdom you can share on the subject?

Ok this is prob really silly to ask and no i havent seen my doctor yet! I have three kids whom were concieved out of the blue, i was on the pill for all of them and careful but still got pregnant! I didnt know i was pregnant till i was 23 weeks with my third child! Now 18months ago i had a severe car accident, my left side took the impact (we were tboned at 120kms per hour (about 70miles (i think not accurate sorry but a wild guess) The last 7 months hubby and i thought we would try for another one, no pill no baby still. I am only 29 so i am young and seeing all my other pregnancies were so simple and instant i am wondering if the car accident could have caused some damage? i was black from my shoulder to my ankle, had two broken ribs and a fractured sternum and severe seatbelt burns, as far as i know there were no internal injuries apart from the broken bones. Anyone had this problem?

Last week I was out sick for two days. I had a English speech that was due Monday, but since I was out for two days, me teacher gave me an extension. My speech was suppose to be given yesterday, but I was not ready because of extreme exhaustion (like my body still healing after my sickness). So, I get to go today for a late grade of -15 points automatically. Is this fair? It is impossible to do work when you are not feeling well. I did not have my speech completed. Would it be justifiable of me to ask my teacher to not take off points if I can get a note my the doctor or my mom saying that I was still recooperating after my sickness and really did try to complete my assignment on time? Or do I take the deduction? What do you think I should do?

i am so messed up i dont want to live i have been thinking i want to die and the past three nights i have been close to doing it i cut all my arms again and everytime i go to the doctors they dont help they just give me tablets to take.



i dont love my partner or baby i used to but now i just tollerate them i feel like a robot doing everything i havent got any feeling or emotions towards my baby and partner and this is makeing me feel 100 times worse i should love them why dont i ?


i do everything for my son and would never hurt him i just cant understand i just want to go i dont want to be here

On the day of my missed period I took a pregnancy test which came out positive. A few days later I began to lightly bleed. I re-tested & It came out negative & I continued to bleed but it became heavier like a regular period. I hadnt been sure I wanted to be pregnant but as I got used to idea I felt scared but adjusted to it. Now I just feel a terrible loss as I know now it is all over. I see my partner at weekends as I work in london in the week. I cant tell him how I'm feeling over the phone or by text, I want to wait to see him. I feel people will tell me to get over it - I wouldnt have even known had I not taken the test. But the fact is I did & I cant forget it. I just wanted to hear from others who have been in my situation as I feel so alone right now & like my feelings are silly, but to me theyre not.

Hi y'all.... hope u can help me.
Here are the facts. Me n boyf r tryn for a baby. came off pill in Nov - Dec/Jan period normal.... had unprotcted sex around ovulation time in Jan/Feb. So when period was due in Feb it came a day late, but was really strange. Very very light and only lasted three days. Im ALWAYS regular and heavy. This period i only had to use a panty liner - usually using tampons and towels for first two days!! Anyway I had been having mild lower abdom cramps for about a week before this bleed which again is not normal, and this was still going on. Now two weeks later, im still getting mild pain in low abdom and am exhausted, feeling on off queesy, skin broke out - not normal and on off low back ache. Im sure your thinking - course your pregnant!! but...heres the prob - three neg tests!!!!!

Whats going on????

ok before i start the hpt was a very sensitive 5-7 before a missed period one.I did it with first pee in the morning lke it said and im so surprised that it came up negitive my period is due on the 27th of this month.I have sore boobs,just in the last couple of days ive been geting sick when i eat,headaches (which is weird for me) period cramps for past 1 and 1/2 weeks (i dont suffer with period pain normally) ive been having severe hot flushes and the one thats bothering me most which i have only suffered once before and it was when i was preg before and that is cramps in my legs the list could honestly go on.I have also caught myself rubbing my stomach with out realising it (did it before i knew i was preg with my daughter) how could my test be neg? do u think the test are just not as sensitive as they claim?anyone else had this happen?

This whole subject of ovulation was really bugging me, so i invested in getting ovulation tests. I have been on various internet sites to determine the best date of my ovulation. The results have confused me a little, the sites all range around the 14th & 15th of February, but my ovulation test showed positive on the 19th. I expect my period in 8 days time, and im wondering if this is very close to my expected period date. I had a m/c last November and and not getting my hopes up too high but hoping that i may get a positive test this time round. I would be grateful for any answers from anyone who has maybe been in the same position. Thanks in advance for any help!

is it too early...if the "nurse practitioner" told me im 1 cm dialated and softening...in early labor...i have been having major pains..since the day before yesterday and i have been having contractions...i had my NST done yesterday and i cant even walk much if i do i walk almost bent down..if i lay down it hurts...is this like labor?
