people spell their childrens names so different. Some of the kids at my son's preschool have the oddest spellings for their names. Such as Lisa=Leighsa
I know people want their children to have unique names but I think it just makes it hard on the kid.

I feel so ungrateful cos i know children are a gift from God. I love my daughter so much.

The problem is manyfold. Firstly with my first daughter, i was made redundant 2 weeks after finding out i was pregnant. I have always been a career girl (worked in PR but was studying to become a lawyer) but i also always wanted a family, so I was happy to leave. But I am still career minded, and my redundancy dented my confidence a whole lot. So once I had my daughter in 05, i was determined to get my career back on track esp to boost my self worth .

Plus my husbands income is not great. I wanted to start making some money ASAP to help provide for my daughter. Dont get me wrong, hubby is a hard worker, but hasnt had much luck so far finding better paid work. I guess I am worried for our futures.

Other issue is my pregnancy and labour were not great. Nausea throughout, fibroids, repulsed by the shapes my baby made in tummy.

Can anyone relate? Am usually v.positive, happy prsn

I am on my period and i dont want to go to school because my friend who is normally there to help me and go to the bathroom with me wont be there. I just need to know a way to get sick because i need to really be sick because i can't pretent or else i will need to go to court!!!! So any ideas will help!!!

My last period was on December 16th, 2006. I have had unprotected sex all the time, but three urine tests including one done at Planned Parenthood came back negative. Could I still be pregnant?

I am just wondering if any parents here have any type of parental blockings from their children on the internet?

If you do, What does your contols blocks and how old are your children? What is the max kind of website it will allow for whatever age children you have?

And also, any type of parental controls on the tv?

I wanted to see everyone's response to this question. I have this know-it-all woman I work with and she said to get rid of Colic... you take an onion, cut it in half, boil it, then take the onion out and let the water cool then give the water to the baby. She said the water is sweet and it will get rid of it. That doesn't sound right to me and i just wanted to hear what everyone had to say.

Anyone else feel like a girl should have a lot of clothes. I am mainly talking about infants and toddlers, but really any age. I know I love clothes, and I have a son and daugther. With my daughter I go crazy but boy stuff isnt as cute. How much does a little girl really need, or is it ok to have enough to always have something different to wear. I feel like all my money is going for her stuff, but its an addiction I just want her to be stylish.

and yet I ALWAYS see 15 year old mothers, to even younger? Is our society really that screwed up? I don't want a kid, in fact, I don't really want to get married, and if I do, maybe, but not now, I know I'm not ready either, but still. Why all this judgement and crude comments?

I have accumulated a list of 127 grievances and charges of misconduct against the principal, vice principal, most of my teachers, cheerleading coach and several administrative assistants. I am at my breaking point and just can't go on at a school that belittles me like this. I'd like to sue the school, if not the school system. The school board has ignored my emails, so I am ready to send them to the local tv stations. Sadly, my daddy does not support this and says I am being unreasonable and would be better off channeling my energy into more productive use. I say booo to daddy and I am doing the right thing. I may be spoiled, but I have my rights.

I used to suck my tumb and I had to get MAJOR work done on my teeth including braces when I was in high school. I wonder if the same will happen to my son if I let him suck his thumb, but I also don't know if it's just a phase......

she needs the bra to "even" out the new lady lumps. lol (she's laughing as i type this!) she's very petite, 20in. width. but she is developing. so where do i find bras for tiny gals? i've thought about not getting her one at all, but i dont know if she'll be comfortable with no support..

I live in a compartment complex in the suburbs. A quiet neighborhood; until a few months ago. I have this single mother who has two children (a teenage boy, and a young girl about ten).
Now, the mother leaves for work at 5:15 am leaving these kids alone. Their alarm goes off at 6:00 am, loud, then the TV at 6:30..
Then, the shouting starts..This goes on until they leave for school.
Then the little girl comes home around 3:15, and she's alone by herself and the TV comes on again, loud,until the brother comes home around 4:00, 4:15. Then the shouting starts, and then the banging; and they're constantly slamming the front door. The mother comes home 5:00, 5:30, but she doesn't seem to do anything...I have complained to the office, wrote them several emails; but it falls on deaf ears. I tried talking to the mother, and I thought we came to an agreement; but it has started up again. I don't want to take this to the next level, but it is getting out of hand.
