Pregnancy & Parenting - 21 February 2007

I'm reaching 29 and am really ready for a child, however my sister has just asked me to be bridesmaid at her wedding (which of course would be an absolute honour) in November.

Now, I would love a baby right now....I would also love to be bridesmaid...and ideally (if I'm honest) then next year would be an ideal time to have a baby.

My concern of course is that if I decide to stop trying for a baby now, then if I start trying again in say September it might not happen straight away. I suppose I'm getting concerned thinking that it might be a whole year from then until I do actually conceive.

Your advice on what you would do would be gratefully received....and also, if you could let me know what age you were when you had your first baby (I suppose I'm feeling as though the clock is ticking and as I want a big family I'm getting impatient.....).

Of course, there is also the chance that if I continue to try I may not even fall pregnant until gone September anyway.....confused!

I had my period on the 26th of jan, then on the 16th feb i had lower abdominal pain and my breast started to ache, i still have sore breasts today (my bra is even causing me discomfort) i feel sick and dizzy infact i am turning into wreck i did a PG test on monday that came back negative and still have another couple ofdays (24th) till my period is due could i have tested to early

hi i have been noticing some light cramping on my right and left sides the last 3 days. the cramps never happen at the same time though? what could that be? also i am supposed to get my period today or tomor. but i have never really noticed that lower crampy feeling before. I really am hoping that i could be pregant But.. i took a test 3 days ago and it came up NEG.> so basically my hopes for being pregnant when down hill.. do you think maybe i tested to soon?? and what could this cramping be?? anyone go through this>>>???? thanks so much!

here is the deal last month my period started on thee 17th this month on the 13th i started using my siliva scope on day on the 18th of this month i got a lot of dots and a couple fern paterns the 19th i got a couple dots and almost all fern patern the 20th i got one fern and a couple dots today i got all fern a bunch of them. is it to early to ovulate? i know every one is difrent. why no fern yesterday? i test the same way every time.am i ovulating now? i had sex on the 19th and we used egg whites for lube. has any one else done this the ovulation being early and using egg whites? last night was the first time i had cm it was tinted light pink with blood and a lot of it. today i checked and im wet inside but its not stringy just clear? what does this mean? im so confused. when should i be having sex? i know i have a lot of questions so any answers will be helpful. thanks in advance and for any of you ttc i wish you all lots of baby dust!

I run a homedaycare and have a few of my own children. I am an amazing caregiver however my problem is I don't care for myself the way that I should. Meaning, I often live on Coffee and Slim Fast while these kids get homecooked meals and fruits and veggies. I am always on the go. Now, I want to get myself a gym membership, but feel that the money should go for food for the kids, and what not.... why am I being so unreasonable.

my brother and i broke into our dads cabinet in the garage and spilled a bottle of something on the garage floor. we tried to clean it up but our mom found out. it smelled really bad and i'm not sure what it was. once she found out she sent us to our room. she told my brother he was getting spanked later and that i was grounded. i have to share a room with my brother. when my dad got home from work he came up, opened our door and told us both of us about how dangerous it was. he then grabbed my brother, yanked down his shorts and underwear and spanked him. i kind of laughed at him when he was getting it. after my dad got done something bad happened. he grabbed me and did the same thing to me. i couldn't do anything and i cried to. my brother is in 3rd grade and i'm in 7th. i can understand why my borther got spanked but i am way to old. i thought i was going to be grounded i think this is way unfair. what can i do?

My husband recently bought a former coworker (a woman) a very expensive Tiffany rattle (man on the moon). I just can't seem to get over it. He never bought me anything like that or our son. He didn't even get me a gift for the hosptial when our son was born. I even wanted to get my sister the same rattle for her baby's dedication but he refused due to expense.

Now, he's bought this rattle for a coworker. And, I'm wounded. Am I right in being wounded or am I over reacting like he says. I don't fear an affair or anything - I just feel like he's saying she's better than me and our family. He says it's pregnancy hormones.

How can I make him understand?

I have asked alot of people and i keep on getting different answers. I allready have stretch marks on my legs but havent got them yet on my belly. My question is: Am i gonna get them after delivering or if i will get them the y wouold have appeared allready?

Does anyone have any advice for comforting a 3 year old who is vomiting? All my daughter wants is for me to sit with her but I feel like I should be doing something more for her. She's at the point where it is only stomach acid that she is vomiting and she can't yet keep any water down. What do you do for YOUR children when they are sick?

My sister is pregant and has been for the last 16 weeks. She went to see the midfife today and after three attempts the midwife was unable to find a heartbeat. My sister is very worried and i was wondering if this is a common occurance that happens to a few people.

The midwife said that she thinks the baby might just be at the back of the womb where it's too far away for the heartbeat to be found. My sis is going back in a couple of weeks to have another check.
Has anybody experienced this sort of thing before?

is it possible for me to get pregnet, i'm on depo birthcontrol, & i just had my 1st shot in december 17.....i've had unprotected sex once with my boyfriend in dec a week before jan........ i've had my period in january, but it was weird...i had it only for 2 days & there were marks of light brown-ish things on my pad since then i've haven't had my period... is it just the depo birthcontrol , orrr ?

"The studies looked at poverty, peers, parenting, schooling, media, personality, genetics and communities.".....and basically they are all to blame.

If this is the case, what can be done to counteract this?
