It could be the start of labour - what is referred to as 'latent labour', where your body is getting ready to start properly. It could also be Braxton Hicks contractions - these are practice contractions and can feel quite strong but are not the real thing.
It's real labour when your contractions are regular and strong. My Midwife told me that when it's a real contraction, you won't be able to carry on with what you are doing at that moment, or continue a conversation during it as it will be difficult to do anything other than concentrate on your breathing. She was right!
If this is the start of labour for you, then keeping upright and mobile can really help to get it established and ultimately help to keep your labour as short as possible, as it will help your baby to drop into the best position, and the pressure of your baby's head on your cervix will help your contractions to become stronger and more regular.
If it's Braxton Hicks contractions, they will stop after a while. Take things easy and try and enjoy your last few days of peace and quiet!
All the best of luck to you with your new baby.

sounds like early labour.
Time these contractions..and depending on how far u are from the hospital..well, lol, hard to say..if you're about 30 mins away from the hospital, go when contractions are about five mins apart, if there's a longer drive, start now. lol
Sounds like really early labour, but your baby is moving down and you are probably dilating.
Get your pregnancy bag, have a quick shower, get ready for your voyage to motherhood!
Good luck and congrats!

Could be Braxton hicks or early labor. Just keep an eye on it. If it gets painful and regular, call your Dr.

phone the maternity unit where you live and tell them as they will advise you on what to do, you will know for sure soon once the contractions start to get stronger.May be worth timing them to see how far apart the pains are...good luck if baby is on their way.
