Poor baby. That is exactly how my daughter acts when she is throwing up. Just sits upright on the couch and wants me there. Since her tummy is upset, dont give her anything right now to make her vomit. Today just give her tiny sips of water or pedi-lite through out the day. Maybe some applesauce. No solid food and NO DAIRY. Give her tummy a time to relax and not want to throw anything out of it. Have you taken her to Dr. yet? Please do if you see she isnt responding well or looks dehydrated. They can get bad really fast. Good luck to your precious one.

No, water is the worst thing for vomiting. Do you have any Sprite or 7 up? Let a glass sit out for a while until there are hardly any bubbles. She'll be able to keep that down better. If you don't have any call some local pharmacy's or grocery stores - surprisingly many still deliver. Esepcially if you are a mom with a sick child. :)))

You don't say how long your daughter has been sick. If it has been a week and she is still throwing up she is most likely dehydrated and the only thing that will make her stop throwing up is an IV. I know they can be scary, but it's worth it.
When you get dehydrated your electrolytes get out of balance and cause continued nausea and vomiting. For a child who can't keep anything down they must have an IV.
I just went through this with my son and the stomach flu. He was starting to feel a little better but was still throwing up, called the doc, went to urgent care, got the IV. The color returned to his face, his energy went up, he was feeling good enough to kick me half way through the IV.

Kids want there mommy;s when they are sick so just sit with her and don't worry about your chores. There is nothing you can do to make her better just give her gingerale, sprite or 7 up. If she is vomiting that bad I would give her pedialyte to keep her hydrated. They even make the popsicles if yoou would prefer those but get her pedialyte no matter what kind it is. That is the best thing for them when they can't keep anything else down. Take her to the doctor if she keeps it up becuase you don't want her to become dehydrated that will make things worse. Don't worry about giving her food it's not going to hurt anything if she don't eat just make sure she drinks ALOT!!! If she can't hold liquid down then take her to the ER.

Just love 'em. Sometimes that's all we can do. Try to put on her favorite movie or show if you need to get some things done around the house, but for the most part there's not much else to do. While even though she's sick, take advantage of her wanting your close & the little bit of "baby" that's left in her.
My doc has suggested pedialyte popsicles too just to help with keeping her hydrated. Make sure you watch for signs of that.

Encourage them. Tell that they are doing a good job and that when it is all over they will feel so much better.
Snuggle with them as they don't understand what is happening to them.
I suggest not putting anything in their little tummy's, even water. Brush their teeth too it will take the bad taste out and protect their teeth from the stomach acid.

put in her favorite movie and just sit and cuddle with her. It does a world of good. Make sure to keep a small garbage can or bucket so you can try to catch when she does vomit. Or when my children are really sick I'll sit with them in the shower and just hold them. That's all you really can do. Good luck.

Does she have the flu or eat something that was bad for her. There are things you can do like give pediolyte that has minerals in it for her. Does she have the diarrhea? There are also popsicles from pediolyte, they also have minerals. Peptobismal for upset tummy but really honey, go to the doctor to find out why she is vomiting and he/she will advise you the best course of action. only give her plain white rice and bananas to eat. good luck

But the pedeolite(sp) freeze pops for her. She can take as little or as much as she wants and kids like freeze pops. Just keep a bucket near by and let her watch her favorite tv shows. Read to her maybe she'll fall asleep which is a good think to do when you are sick.

When my daughter got sick I would sit with her, read to her, we'd talk. The first time she got sick to her stomach I went to the dollar store and got a small bucket and a bunch of stickers. She decorated the bucket with stickers and that became her "puke" bucket. Now at the age of 21 she still has that puke bucket although the stickers have faded a bit.
