I am just wondering if any parents here have any type of parental blockings from their children on the internet?

If you do, What does your contols blocks and how old are your children? What is the max kind of website it will allow for whatever age children you have?

And also, any type of parental controls on the tv?

Why don't you just duct tape them to a chair and then play brain washing tapes. Because they will never go out into the real world and find these things out for themselves.
Or
Chill out and be a good parent by sitting down and actually talking to your children about internet predators. That is what a good parent does.
Really young kids like a brother is playing on: Play station 2 and blowing up stuff and kicking the heads off people.
Learning how to shoot down alien space craft and blow up animals.
So block a site where young people can actually talk to each other and solve problems and learn stuff about the bible.
What are you trying to block that they haven't seen already?
yes this computer has a ton of parental controls through Norton internet.

when i lived at my mom's house i wasn't even allowed on the internet. i'm not going to put parental controls on my son's though, because he needs to gain some trust. but i will be checking the temporary internet files and if he does anything to lose that trust, i will put them on.

tv is another story. i will have parental controls, i won't care what he watches as long as i know what it is and i think it's appropriate for his age, but when i'm not around, they will be on. and it's called a v-chip. every show has that rating on the top at the beginning, and the v-chip on the tv allows you to watch shows with certain ratings.

No!
My daughter is eleven, and I trust her not to abuse our trust!
She only views sites I have put into her favourites folder for her.
Of course we keep an eye on her.
