Sapphire is okay. It will probably be up and coming in the jewel name department.
Ray is not okay.

yes, it's very pretty... i like the idea of using gemstones for names.. it is very old world and romantic.
Pearl used to be very popular around the turn of the century into the 1950s.-- Jade was popular, Ruby was too.
I know a little girl named Emerald... i like that one too.
if I had all girls I would do Sapphire,Emerald, Ruby and Diamond!!

yes! Would you spell Ray as 'Ray' or as 'Rae'? When I see 'Ray', I think of a man. But that's my opinion.
Ignore all the answers about sounding like a stripper/porn star. It doesn't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously those people have one thing on their mind!

That name is to ghetto. Try a normal traditional name like Christina. Or you could try Stephanie.

I agree with a previous poster, sounds like a stripper/porn star name.

My seven year old son says: "No. It's sounds weird. Kids will laugh at it... If I ever have a kid, I'm NEVER naming them that." Just thought you'd like to hear it outta the mouths of babes. (FYI: I like it!)
