Yes, I use the patch. I find it great, its handy as you don't have the hassle of rememberin to take a pill at a certain time every day. It's really sticky too, so doesn't even come off in the shower. I used to use the pill but I found that it made me gain a little weight, which the patch doesn't. It's just as effective too - 99.8%.
Remember though, that no matter what answers you get about this question, contracptive is differnt for everyone. What suits one person, might be very unsuitable for another. The best thing to do is talk to a doctor or go to a family planning / contraceptive centre. They'll be able to advise you on what patch on brand would suit you best.
I'm sure as you're already on the pill and presumably sexually active you don't need me to remind you that a condom is still advisable as it is the only method of ensuring you don't catch STI (sexually transmitted infections).
You can read up a little more on the patch at this website:

Hope this all helps

I had no experience with the patch, but my friend is using that kind. I guess it should work, but you have to change it every month.
TIPS: there's another kind of safer contraceptive what you call "Implanon" (a contraceptive implant injected beneath your arm skin). I used this kind before. It works great!! I liked it because it gives me no menstruation at all for 3 years, well actually I got 3 times within those years. A chance to get pregnant, only 1%. You save more money than spending for contraceptive patch or pills. For Implanon, you just pay once. The advantages of Implanon are, it's hidden under your skin, unlike the patch, there will be no menstruation pain (it depends from person to person), don't have to change regularly unlike patch, never forget to take unlike pills & won't put on weight, it's 99% safe. Although, you don't have period, but you still can have a baby, once you remove it. I've been using it for 3 years & I removed this in order to have a baby. In my case, 3 days after removal, I got pregnant. But normally it takes 1 month to let your feminim hormon works as it should. You are 17, I guess you might have to ask your gynacolog for advise.

I've never taken any birth control but I hear the patch is easier because it can last for up to 4 weeks before you have to take another one. Also don't get the Ortho Evera Patch because that can cause stroke, heart attack or even death. But yeah it's much easier than taking the pill every day.

Any birthcontrol is a risk. That's the problem the side affects are bad for women. Stroke is a risk, smoking while on birth control also puts you at risk. That patch is new I'd give it a couple of years to see if anyone has affects from it before trying it. By then you'll know if anyone has bad affects from it. Never try anything new.

this has been out for a while, alot of people don't use it because its been causing deaths because it causes the person to have severe blood clot. (I've never tried it so i don't know) I was also on the pill and i hated it... i had spotting and i would always forget to take it on time. I use the Nuva Ring, which is a ring you place in the vagina yourself and take out in three weeks... it's easier for me and i don't have to remember to take it every day.. At first it's wierd putting it in but then you get use to it and plus you can't feel it at all. When i have sex with my boyfriend... he doesn't even know i have it in. You should do your research on all of the contraceptive before using them though to see which one is right for you.

You could have a lok at this website with the different forms of contraceptives to give you an idea of what would be best for you, http://www.ivillage.co.uk/print/0,,599845,00.html. Or this website has the same question answered

You should talk with your doctor about it. I thought that there was some controversy concerning the birth control patch. It would be wise to find that out so you can weigh the pros and cons of it's use.

Have a really good conversation with your doctor about all the things that are available. He's the expert! (or she.)
