Call the doctor. My 5 mth old had the same thing and we had him tested for RSV Virus and he had to be on breathing treatments. Also use saline nose spray!

you can ask the doctor to give him something for the coughing and the stuffy nose.i called the doctor about my 7 month old and he gave him some cold medicine.if he don't want to give him any.i guess all you can really do us use your baby's nose suction.let him sit up as much as you can .it will make him feel better.hope this helps.oh yea u can try some saline drops too that will help with the stuffy nose .still ask your baby's doctor first.good luck

Do you have a humidifier? If so, plug it in and get it going. If not, please take the baby, and while you are holding him, in the room, not in the shower, run the shower on straight hot water-with the shower curtain closed so as to NOT splash any water on him. When the bathroom fills up pretty good with steam, that should help. If the coughing continues, and even just to help you feel better, please feel free to call his dr. to find out more of what to do. He may just have a cold. But, when so young, it's best to find out for sure. Especially this time of year. Take care.
