Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 February 2007

Ok so my boyfriend and I had/were about to have sex at the beginning of this month during my period. He only went in a little bit and didn't ejaculate but may have had sperm on his penis from earlier that day. I know it's not that high of chances that I am pregnant but I am still afraid that I am. I have some symptoms that could be pregnancy sypmtoms like being tired, more hungry, moody, and others but those could also be from stress I have right now and that I have started to exercize again. So does anyone know how I can tell the difference or if I am pregnant or not. It's too early for me to get a pregnancy test. Please help!

This is my first pregnancy and it's hard for me to tell what is gas and what is my baby's kicks. (Except when my kid does a complete summersalt!) It's even more difficult because it feels like I have gas all day and night. Is it normal to have so much gas. How do I distinguish between gas and my little ones gentle kicks?

i get really awkward-ish when i'm in the car with the parents of the kids i'm babysitting for and they're trying to have a conversation. i don't know why i get so nervous but sometimes when i replay it it my head i feel like i was being rude some of the time. for any one who's a parent, what would you think of this sort of behavior. do you even notice it?

I never thought it will ever happen. A teacher, yes a teacher, at a reputable public school bullies by daughter. We tried talking to the teacher but it got worst. School principal thinks very highly of her. After we made her complain to the principal she has become more vindictive. My daughter is only 12 and she is already having stress failures. How can we have this teacher leave my daughter alone?

My toddler figured out how to climb out of his crib a few nights ago. Since then, he climbs out atleast 8X everynight until he finally falls asleep. The other night, we woke up to him playing in the living room with his toys @ 3 in the morning. He climbed in bed with us this morning @ 5. I don't know what to do!!! His sleeping scheduelle is all messed up now & no one is getting enough sleep.

Does anyone understand hormone counts. A friend is about 4-5 weeks pregnant and went to the er because she was cramping. They said she was pregnant, but her hormone count was only 16, so they thought she was going to miscarry. She was upset and I looked up that it could be somewhere between 14 and 475 or something like that. Can anyone explain this?

im in need of answers..:) i was just wondering if anyone had a good outcome using one of these two..By carrying a baby full term or even later then they carried their last baby!..The doctors did tell me some things about it but i would feel better if people told me by their own expierence if it works or not!...i just dont want to go through that again.

and does your belly always harden while a contraction come up? if its real what do you do to speed things up? as i woke up this morning at 4.15am and felt this mejor pain but belly didnt tighten as such then felt another at about 4.53am then i lost count as they seemed like still there but wavy feeling so i thought i needed the toilet (for number 2) but my bowels are empty.

i am currently 38 wks 5 days and really hoping this isnt another false alarm!!

Me and my g/f recently had sex...were so good about protection....but this time it was spur of the moment and we didnt have protection except for birth control...i made the mistake of releaseing a bit of seamen in her but she said it would be ok i pee'd it out and pushed it out...what are the chances of her being pregnant?? Apprently this is some sort of staph infection. My sister's b/f pretty much lives with her, he's there all the time. And I read that this stuff is VERY contagious and quite hard to get rid of.

I have a 3 year old daughter and my sister is upset with me because I won't let her go over there to play with her kids because I don't want her to catch this.

If anyone can tell me more about it I would be very grateful.

Also, do you think I'm doing the right thing by not letting my daughter over there?

every pregnacy that i have had i always have real bad diarrhea i was just wondering if there is anyone else out there that has had this problem and how i can't stop it or do i have to deal with it for the next nine months.

She's 9 months old. And she appears to be very shy when she sees new people, or even me, since we see each other once a month. If I approach her and try to interact with her, she either looks away or faces down. Once she gets a little confindence, I can hold her, but can cry for the littlest things. She cries even if the dog gets near by. I know I might look as a stranger to her, but I find odd that she appears very shy. And back when she was about 6 months old, she appeared to be more sociable.
It's the same wioth my 6 month old cousin, he is sociable towards me, but to my parents, he cries, and doesn't want to be hold.

Do babies get scared with adults?? I'm 23, but I look 16, I don't thinkit has anything to do with it. But these two kids cry a lot around my parents.

Anywa, how can you make a baby to accept strangers a little bit more. Is that a stage in their babyhood??

well, i had my period like 3 weeks ago, i have had sex since then. with a condom. But over the past few weeks, ive been gaining abnormal weight. i say abnormal because im a very thin girl and i have been trying to gain weight for years, and suddenly i am. I have been extremely moody and very emotional. the other night i felt really really hot, i thought i had a fever. I haven't had much of an appetite, but i have been very thirsty, and going to the bathroom much more often. I get a quick runny nose off and on. and been experiencing alot of gas pains. i dont feel nausious and my breasts don't hurt. Im just really scared. Please give me your input, unless you dont have anything nice to say. thankyou.

I just recently had sex with my girlfriend who is on the pill....were so good at protecting ourselves all the time....we decided to have sex without a condom which was not smart! and to add to that i released a bit of sperm in her....she said it will be ok because she is on the pill and she pee'd it out....what are the chances of her getting pregnant? My son was born September 27th, 2006 @ 26wks. His health is great except for these tiny galstones that he has. He has to take this medicine called Ursodiol twice a day. It gets very nerve racking but I know he needs it. My question is: Does anyone know of any daycares for premature babies or have you ever heard of a such thing? I'm asking because I would really like to go back to work or school. The only thing stopping me is daycare for my son. I want him somewhere that I know will be able to handle his condition and will make sure he has his meds and also, is skilled enough to care for premature children. Please help me. I dont know if I should just stay home until he turns one or continue to search for a daycare. I NEED him in a safe place, so that when I am at work or school I will know he is well taken care of.

Im in my 9th month of pregnancy and like normal im having alot of discharge, but unlike my last pregnancy im geting very raw and blisters are forming because im discharging so much does anyone have any recomendations as to what i can do to help this is very very painful i also have some slight swelling due to the blisters forming.... please help me out i willt ake anyting into consideration at this point.

Ok, me and my gf had unprotected sex back in december, and then in January, she missed her period by like a week or so...and when it finally came, she said it was VERY light. Now she is exhausted all the time, twice as hungry, and says she has an occasional morning sickness (or what she thinks to be morning sickness). We went and got one of those little pregnancy testers from a local drugstore but it came out negative...(note: this was like early January when she took it) Could this pregnancy test have been wrong? Could she be pregnant?

all day i have been getting sharp pains and i dont know why. the pains has been very bad i cant even stand up that good. and i have had lots of liquids comming out........ i told my friend and she said that was happening to her and she was in labor. i mean im not sure weither im going into labor and not knowing that i am. i thought i was pregnant but i came on my period last month and so i thought i had a miscarriage. so could i be going into labor???
