I started to feed my children rice cereal before bed and that seemed to keep them full all night. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. I asked my doctor if it was OK and he said yes. Rice is a very gentle food and easy on the tummy of a baby.

I feel your pain! My son is 6 mos. old and he still gets up all throughout the night. We've also tried letting him cry it out and the results have been somewhat irregular... for his naps during the day the cry-it-out thing works well, but at night it just makes him more upset and then he's more awake... I've pretty much given up and just gone back to nursing him throughout the night. I just wanted to piggy-back on the answers you already had for this question... I've been giving my son rice cereal (and other solids too) at about 6:30/7:00 pm and his bedtime is around 8. We've been doing a whole "bedtime routine" with the meal, bathtime, massage with lotion, storytime, and one final nursing before he goes to bed... He still wakes up all night! I think for some babies the routine and the cereal before bed do the trick, but know that for others they might still wake up even with those things... I know this isn't really an answer to your question, but I wanted you to realize that sometimes those things don't do the trick like people always say they do. Anyway - good luck!

feed him rice before sleeping and maybe read him a story before sleeping so he can relax and tell him that you are very proud of him cause he will sleep in his bed all night.
