Things you SHOULD do:
eat healthy, small, frequent meals
take your prenatal vitamin
exercise moderately
start your prenatal care now
and I suggest the book, What to Expect When You're Expecting (it's the pregnant woman's bible)

Things NOT to do:
no harmful substances....ei, drugs, alcohol, most medications
you should also start to control your caffine intake, a little bit is okay, but most doctors recommend that you limit your caffine to one cup of coffee, or soda, or what have you, a day
you want to avoid jarring activities such as horseback riding
you should also begin to take steps to limit your stress level, stress can become rather harmful later in your pregnancy, so taking care of things (like telling family) now rather than later, is probably preferable.

good luck! you can do it! (I had my first right before I turned seventeen, and then I married a man in the army, when I was nineteen. It's tough, but you can do it!)

Congratulations! She's a blessing, not a mistake. :-)
You should eat a lot of fresh foods like fruit and avoid things like salt and too much fatty food. (That was really hard for me and I gained way too much.) Make sure you take a prenatal everyday with folic acid. Get plenty of rest because you won't be able to later. Avoid raw foods, cigarette smoke, gas stations and don't change a cat litter box if you have one. I can't really say what to do about your guy and all that, but try not to stress so much. If you and he are not on good terms then take your time, I would say and hang with your mom. I would definitely tell him when he comes back though -- he probably would wanna know for sure, but all that is your call. It's a lot to have on your head all at once....stay calm, you're gonna be okay. Be happy, it's truly a blessing. My little baby just turned five this week and it went so fast. Get the book What to Expect When You're Expecting from the library....it's great. All the best to you!

First of all, let that daddy know. The military has great benefits and if its his baby, then they will help out a lot. And you will definately need it. Don't think you are burdening him.....he is just as responsible.
As for what to eat, drink, etc.
Try to avoid caffeine. Also, no smoking or being around anyone who smokes, it can lead to lower birth weight. They say to avoid some kinds of seafood, but I am not sure which ones, but you can google it. Drink lots and lots of water!!! I hate water so this is the hardest for me. Other than that, just try to eat healthy for that baby, take vitamins, and don't do too strenuous of work.

Also....only take Tylenol unless you ask a doctor! NO Advil!!!

Hi eat healthy, avoid alcahol and try not to smoke cigarettes if u smoke reduce the amount and slowly give up. I found that regular excersie is excellent especially when pregnant. Pregnacy isnt an illness so dont be scared to do things. drink water and milk more than coffee and tea. Just relax and dont over do it. Enjoy it.

the first thing u should do is tell your mom!! then make a dr. app. prenatal care is sooooo important! your ob will tell you all the dos and don'ts of pregnancy, like no drinking or smoking. take your prenatal vits. but please........go see a doctor! your mom is going to be your best support system right now since your man is in the navy. your really going to want to have her around durring this time and i am sure that she is going to want to be a part of this wonderful time in your life as well. trust me, they are not going to consider their grandbaby a burden. congrats and good luck!
