I bled heavily for 4 weeks after her birth, and we've been sexually active ever since. Last night it was particularly vigorous and I bled a bit. But it's since stopped. How worried should I be? Should I see my doctor?

If you are breastfeeding, it will be at least 6-8 months before your period returns, possibly longer. If not breastfeeding, it takes about 2-4 months before your period returns. When it returns, it may be irregular for a few months. You should start using birth control now though - you never know exactly when it will return, and you will ovulate before your period starts again!

that's popular. Iv had 3 little ones and with each and each i bled for 2-3 weeks and took a classic era after 8-9 weeks. it is going to prob be with you quickly!! take exhilaration in the time b4 it does seem as its going to be rather heavy back.

You did not say if you are breast feeding. If so this is normal. In fact I did not get my period after my youngest son until a year later. If you are not breast feeding it may not hurt to talk to your Dr. Even if you are breast feeding and have that much concern it still would not hurt to talk to your Dr. Even if only to make yourself feel better. Please remember that even though you are not having a period that birth control is a must as you can still get pregnant again.

Dont stress i didnt get mine till 3mths after i gave birth to my daughter .. Are you breastfeeding? Because if you are some people dont actually get theres till they stop feeding ..

But last night you could have just damaged the cervix or it could have been the beggining of your period .. Its not going to be how it was b4 you had bubs for awhile till it gets back to normal so it could have been spotting b4 u get the real thing ( thats what happend to me)

Are you breast feeding? If you are, then normally your periods won't start until about a month after you stop breast feeding her. If you're not feeding her yourself, it is normal to not have a period for a couple of months after birth, but if you are worried, speak to your GP x

i advise you to see your doctor today before tomorrow but don't worried and don't let your self because if they were nothing you will be relaxed not to have a thing.

You need to go to the doctor and let him or her know and it could be stress.

Are you breastfeeding?? If so then you won't have your period until you've stopped. ALTHOUGH YOU CAN STILL GET PREGNANT!
