I have heard so many wives tales for pregnant women, from the way you carry the baby to not reaching for something over your head. I personally don't believe in a lot of them because they are, well...tales. Are there any that actually carry some merit and have been proven (not just an opinion) to be true?

The one about carrying all out front is a boy and more spread around and all over is for a girl is true in my personal experience and all my friends around me.. But obviously its not a fact.. I don't think any old wives tales can have been proven as they probably wouldn't be classed as an old wives tale...

No, that is why they are wives tales. Some may seem true simply based on coincidence. They are just tales, fun but tales

The only thing I can think of that's got any basis in reality is that you shouldn't lift heavy objects. It's not that it's really dangerous, exactly, it's just that your center of balance is off while you're pregnant & you could fall easier, which could be dangerous.

they say none of them are true but i dont believe that...they say with boys you carry low and they have a lower heart rate and your hairs on your body will grow thicker or even longer and you crave spicy or salty foods.. ...and with girls you carry all around and the heart beat is higher..and you crave sweet foods...for me it was true and im having a boy...good luck and congrats..
