Both of my girls got constipated when they started solids. Plenty of water does help, but if they don't go for 2-3 days, I would call your pediatrician. Since I've gone through this before, I just give them some diluted prune juice, or diluted apple juice. I dilute it because the tast can be strong for little ones who are new to food. Remember, their tummies are small, so it doesn't take much.

Stools can thicken with starting rice cereal. Not all babies have a constipation issue though. If stools become hard then you could try adding fruits to the cereal to add some fiber to it. Too many bananas and carrots can also be constipating so offer a good variety and baby should do fine. Happy feeding :)

Yes, mine baby did. We mix the cereal with some apple juice. Also, oatmeal cereal is less binding than rice cereal. Once your baby starts on fruits, give plenty of peaches, pears, and prunes.

Yes. Make sure that she gets plenty of water and try some juice that won't upset her tummy. Otherwise you're going to have one unhappy camper on your hands. The older generation put some Karo syrup in the milk to help with that.

I started with oat cereal or barley cereal. It's less constipating. Also, you can give a bit of fruit with it, or sugar syrup.

i does not placed corn syrup in my infant's bottle! start up good slowly, and if something upload a splash prune juice interior the load loss plan slowly. start up with something like pears, avocado, banana, in the adventure that your infant does not p.c.. up ant consume nutrition, your infant doen't prefer any yet. additionally be conscious that meats, dairy, and grains would be extremely not basic on a splash device.
