Pregnancy & Parenting - 24 February 2007

My mom and dad are so unfair to me. I'm in 7th grade and got a spanking with my pants and boxers down last weekend for sneaking out when I was suppose to be grounded when they left me home alone. I was telling my mom this week that I am to big to get punished like this. She told me that I am still "just a kid" and they will use what they think works. I am kind of short for my age and a lot of people think I am 9 or 10 but I am practicaly an adult.

How do I make them see that I am little kid anymore and what makes them think I am still a kid?

I am 17 weeks and today after eating lunch I stood up and they my pants became really wet. I looked down and they were soaked like I had used the restroom on myself. It appeared to just be clear liquid. I called my OB and she said it sounds like a ruputred membrane and if more fluid comes out tonight go to the ER. Anyone else had this happen? What were your results, was your baby fine? I'm really worried any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

After hours of chasing after my daughter (she crawls and is learning to walk) I feel sooo reliefed when she finally falls asleep!
And some days, I just feel like taking a "break" from her, and let my husband take care of her for at least 30 minutes...
Does this make me a selfish mom?
I'm a stay home mom, and my husband seems to think that all I do all day is sit there with nothing to do... he forgets that I do laundry, cook, clean, take care of the baby and etc...
Am I asking for much?
Sometimes, despite loving my baby so much, I just feel like being away from her for a while... Does it mean I'm a bad mom?

ok so my girls and my 5 months of being together is comin up on febraury 29th. the problem is.....look at teh calendar there is no 29th on there. it only goes up to 28th. waht do we do? do we not count it as 5 months and wat till next month or we just count it on the 28th?

I need to go through the maternity clothes that have been stored in my garage. Problem is, the garage has recently been invaded by mice who have come in from the cold. I'm afraid they may have left little "presents" for me in the stored clothing, in the form of droppings or -- ick -- nests.

Is it safe for me to go through the clothing? Would gloves and laundering with a heavy duty detergent be enough to protect me? I am mainly worried about toxoplasmosis. Thank you...

right my sister went on holiday for 3 months to greece, and while she was over there she had a period for the 1st 2 months and for the 3rd her period was light and like 2 days, the a week later she came on again for 2 days.

when she came back she was ok the 2 weeks later she went onto the injection ( that was 2 weeks ago on wednesday).

she started to get fat and she just throught it was the injection but then her boobs started to grow, she went to doctors and they told her she was pregnant but,

where the lady didnt test her before she had the injection ( even tho my sister told her about her weird period), and now she has to go for a scan on friday, the doctor said there is a 50/50 chance it may live but it could be something wrong with it because the lady never tested, or she may miscarry

but right now she is getting pain in her stomach and shes scared ( the doctor did say she was pregnant before the injection did this make it worse? can give me some advice please thankyou

So much of our relationship has been me feeling obligation or guilt towards her. In the last year I have been living my life and just letting her be upset. Realizing that is seperate from me. Now that I am pregnant with number two. I mentioned a home birth and as usual she got shocked that I would even consider something like that. She has no education on the matter and immediately filled my mind with negative things of everything that could go wrong. So I have not told her that I have decided for sure to go that route. I told my seven year old that the home birth is a secret and we are only telling people that will be supporitive of us and not to tell grandma cause she makes me worry. My mom talks about coming up and taking my daughter to the hopsital and I tell her I may not need her up here, that I can do this without her (in the past I have explained that thinking I am going to hell and messign up my kids makes me not want her around me or my kids). Should I feel guilty yet again?
