He is regular army, went AWOL after his 3rd week of BCT at Fort Benning, hes a 25B not sure what that means. He's been gone for almost 15 days now. Will they actually take the time in persuing him? Like sending the cops everywhere or undercover agents and such to apprehend him. Are they allowed to do search warrants like the whole house or yard? or hold me as an accomplice to his whereabouts.

Someone else asked where did our medals come from. Another person said there was a number on the back of them.

I looked at all of my medals and some had nothing on the back and some had the letters "LIGI" on the pin plate. Anyone know what this means?

Do we have to short attention spans for international politics, which seem to come back and haunt us, everytime we try to get involved?

I found this by accident. They are quite clear what they intend to do. This looks like a U.S. website too.

With great aplomb they will refer to the Qur’anic verses (such as 2:30, 6:165, 7:129, 27:62) which firmly declare that only the Muslims are the rightful inheritors of earth. Allah has assured the victory of Islam by expropriating and usurping the land of the infidels and hand them over to the Muslims (verses 13:41, 21:44, 28:58). The Islamic world is patiently waiting for this ultimate victory of Islam—no infidel should bear any doubt on this mindset of great majority of Islamic diehards.

There are thousands of Islamic organizations in the West whose job is to keep pushing their Islamic agenda to reshape the West. The message is loud and clear: conform to Islam or else face jihad, that is, Islamist terrorism.

At first I thought it was part of the "War on Terror"... then it was to "Get Saddam".... and now I've lost track... so what are the official reasons we're fighting Iraq? Why are we still there? What about Osama Bin Laden?

G'day all!!

I was wondering, I am considering serving in the Unites States Military, but I have a slight (possible) problem.

I am half Austrian, and half American ( I grew up both in Austria and America, My mom is austrian my dad american) so I not only speak Austrian dialect, german and englisch fluently, I also have citizinship in both countries.

I have heard that, if i were to enter the military, that I would have to renounce my Austrian citizinship. Is that true?

If so, is there no way around it??

and, Would it be possible to, in the future, get it back?

Cheers!

I am a freshman in high school and am lightly considering a career in the AF. I get good grades, pretty much straigh A's. how hard is it to get in the AF? someone told me that you have to have perfect eyes to get in...i don't know if my eyes are perfect...when can you enter the AF? anytime? is it better to enter when you're young? does anyone have any regrets about joining? I want to join to serve my country, and frankly, flying F/A-18s sounds like a hecka lotta fun :). so how fast can you be a pilot? or do many people who want to get in to be a pilot end up not making it? how long do you have to go to school?
sorry so many questions. i'll probably get directed to a web site...
any info would be helpful! thanks!

I want to go to the Navy, but my Dad says that I'm not tough enough, how do I become more tough?

My husband has been in the Army as a SPC for only a year. Trouble is that he is no spring chicken (mid-30's) and has badly injured his shoulder. He has been on profile now for about three months. My question is, how long does a soldier have to be on profile to get sent to MEB? What is their process?

They have done x-rays, scheduled his MRI today and it specifies on his profile that he can't lift more than 15 lbs and cannot wear a helmet or plates. However, his unit is scheduled to be deployed in November to Baghdad. How is this possible with his injuries? What is going to happen? His ETS is more than 2 years away.

PS Note that since he has a administrative MOS his injuries do not interfere with his daily work aside from not being able to do PT.

I saw a question on here a little while ago about Reintegration briefing and I have a question about it also....How far in advanced do they usually hold a Reintegration briefing for the spouse before the soldier is scheduled to come home? Is there a set time line? My husband is deployed and we are having a briefing soon too, but we have no idea when they are coming back...does this briefing mean we are getting close to the end of the deployment?

Lets say i join the Marines and become a Lt. If i don't like the Marines after my term can i switch to the Navy and still retain my grade as an officer? Also Army to Navy? I know the Navy and Marines go through the same NROTC program at State colleges so i would think you can.

I'm planning on doing the NROTC program at USD in San Diego. They can guarantee flight training through the Marines only but their base locations suck!! Do Marine pilots fly along with the Navy? If so will there be more options for me as far as duty stations. My first choice was the Navy but they won’t guarantee flight training.

getting out of the army before your term is up is not a bad thing, and it is do-able without getting thrown in jail, ect.

so why when someone on here asks how to do it, most reply with OMG YOUR GOING TO GET THROWN IN JAIL ...

i have lived the army life and know for a fact that they dont do crap to you but take some of your pay and discharge you..... its not that big of a deal these days. EVEN IN A TIME OF WAR.

so stop telling lies ppl, GETTING OUT OF THE ARMY IS POSSIBLE AND VERY EASY THESE DAYS.

Many from other countries and the U.S. believe that he is.

They believe this because he invaded Iraq because of WMD's...there were no WMD's.

They believe this because he and his administration insinuated that Iraq was involved in our terrible national tragedy of 9-11...Iraq was not.

They believe this because he and his AG, Gonzalez allowed torture...they certainly did.
