Someone else asked where did our medals come from. Another person said there was a number on the back of them.

I looked at all of my medals and some had nothing on the back and some had the letters "LIGI" on the pin plate. Anyone know what this means?

LIGI is just one of the U.S. Federal Government makers stamps. The three most common are G23, G27 and LIGI for todays military decorations.

LIGI stands for Lordship Industries. The US stopped using them in 1996 when they were busted for selling Medals of Honor.
