who would win this war?

Invaders = South East Asia
(Malaysia)
(Philippines)
(Indonesia)
To win the war South East Asia has to succesfully control the Island Country of Australia for 3 years. (is that possible?)

Defenders = Oceania
(Australia)
(New Zealand)
(Fiji)
(Tonga)
(Papua New Guinea)
For Oceania to win the war they must be able to defend Australia for 3 years.

***The rules are no Ally intervention or Nuclear warfare. ***(This is a hypothetical question and in reality has a .1% chance of happening)

So often people who are FOR the U.S. war in Iraq use "Support Our Troops" to make their case. I DO support our troops... I am from a military family, and grew-up on a military base. BUT, I am completely AGAINST our soldiers fighting in this pointless war. Worldwide hatred of the United States is far more intense than it has ever been, we are far less safe than we were BEFORE Iraq (and after Afghanistan), and we will never be able to secure a stable supply of oil from Iraq. Even worse, by all but ignoring Afghanistan for Iraq, we are giving it back to the Taliban and Osama Binladin. How can I explain this to other Americans who think that being against the war is the same as being against our soldiers?

*Names are changed

Hey Ben,

I just wanted to let you know that I am still here and even though we are not together like we used to be, I will wait faithfully until you’re finished your posting on Manoora.

I respect you and support your work Ben. I hope you aren’t ever lonely. I am doing well with my work and Alex is growing into a fine young man. Bella is also getting much bigger, but with the colder weather now, she is getting slightly frumpy again!

Sending you a big smile and warm wishes. Regardless of anything, I’ll always love you; you will always be the man of my dreams Ben York and no, I don’t think I’ll ever get over you.

Love always,
Your pretty girl

Now first let me clarify your concepts about the 70 virgins which people talk about whenever they have nothing to say to support their answers/reasons.Actually Most of them say it bcoz they have been misguided about it. Allah(name of God in Muslims) promises Muslims some gifts for good deeds as well as some punishments for the bad ones and I hope in the Holy Bible too, He promises some gifts as well as some punishments. Now note it that GOD HAS FORBIDDEN US TO KILL OURSELVES IN THE HOLY QUR'AN. yes buddies. it's the truth. when something is haraam, it is a "never forgivable sin" to do it and suicide is called HARAAM by GOD in the Holy book of Muslims. yes killing yourself is haraam in islam It's written clearly in the Holy Qur'an and the Muslims believe it. Those, who die through suicide will directly go to HELL as they have done a strictly forbidden sin. a haraam sin. Well , now the question comes into our minds that "then why is it said and being told that Muslims believe that suicidal death is a direct path to heavens and even people tell that Muslims believe that they shall get 70 virgins for it?"
Well. it is being said because,
in the Holy Qur'an , Allah promises Muslims that those who die in the name of God for the sake of humanity and for the truth and rights, they shall be rewarded. Now among those rewards, God has promised that they shall be rewarded with 70 virgins of the Heaven. God also promises in the Qur'an the reward to good men(those who did nice deeds here) of their wives as virgins in the Heavens. e.g if I you are married man and go to Heavens, your wife will be there for you as a virgin.
Now you see that the 70 virgins were promised to be rewarded to those who die in the name of God for the sake of truth and humanity AND THOSE WHO DIE THROUGH SUICIDE WILL DIRECTLY GO TO HELL!. but it was preached and spread amongst you people that these Muslims think that they shall be rewarded with 70 virgins for killing themselves as they think they are doing so for the truth. it was spread amongst you to make you hate Muslims and think that they are fallacious and totally on the wrong side and hence, gain your approval and sympathy for the Iraq and Afghanistan war. And plzz plzz don't think that whatever you are being told is 100% true until you go through the facts and figures yourselves. Whatever I have said is clearly written in the Holy book of Muslims, the Quran. And you can check that that I have said the truth about it.

When they just say it to feel better. because that actually makes the soldier feel worse, for them is like then what the hell are we doing here. because whe cant just leave the situation revert to what it was or worse. because then all those soldiers would have died for nothing.

If we must beef up our troops and weapons in Iraq, can we fight fire with fire and start making our own improvised bombs out of Iranians and strapping them to different militant and terrorist targets in Iraq? In this way, we could wipe out two "Axis of Evil" targets as Pres. Bush would say, for the price of one!

since November I have been considering joining the Air force, and I want to make a decision by my 21st birthday which is 3 months from now! I was in college, but it just wasn't working. I don't know if its because I didn't like school, or just became disenchanted with it. The same thing happened around about this time in high school, so I finished poorly. I want to join the Air Force because I feel this need to serve my country, I also want the pride and camaraderie that comes with it. My parents aren't to keen on this idea but, they finally decided they will support whatever decision I make. Sooo here are my choices, transfer from my University to a junior college so I can do my prereq's for an out of state college( i go to school in my hometown) I think being away might re-energize me. Join the Air Force in October... or find a career I like such as financial planning( was offered a job already) and do it while I'm continuing school. I'm not content just doing school anymore...

I'm getting a Bachelors in Aeronautical Science. Joining as a commisioned officer and "hopefully" fly an apache. Confident. Landed perfectly twice my first 30 mins. 17 y/o

Reasons why not Warrant Officer.

I get thrown in more scenarios then.
I have to enlist first. Bad choice.
I would be called an "enlisted officer" bad.

Good reasons, just what they say the duties of commisioned officers are, can adapt to enviroments quikly, can do special ops as well. etc etc etc.

What do commisioned officers usually go through before they fly.

How long is ocs then i have 14 weeks BCT,, then i have flight training at fort rucker al? for how long?

I've always envisioned myself as a Marine. My father was a Marine and my mom was in the Air Force. I also have numerous family members with an ARMY background. No other branches of the military appeal to me like the USMC does. But I'm questioning my future career after the service.. I would love to be a nurse.. I find the human body to be a beautiful form of life.. I could join the Navy to learn more about that profession. At the same time, technology is an outstanding professional field and in the future it will be even more demanding!! I can fulfill a technology career in the USMC. But I'm still questioning wheather or not to enlist. Although I have this huge poster from the USMC on my bedroom wall. Also, I am a female so I wouldn't be in any ground combat either. Which sucks because thats what really really attracts me to the military anyways. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'm so concerned.. and it's way too early to worry (considering he's only in AIT). We've had some trust issues... we've never cheated, but there was a time before being married that we broke up and he dated someone else. I'm now constantly worried that he will find someone else while he is away, but my biggest worry (aside from the obvious danger of deployment... God forbid) is that if he is deployed for a year or longer, that he will cheat. I've heard of so many situations where men cheat on their wives. I know the women at home aren't perfect, but guys seem to have more of that "desire" and "drive". My husband IS a good guy, don't get me wrong, he's absolutely against cheating. Are there men that TRULY stay faithful? If there are any Army men who did, please respond. Please don't give any rude/mean/stupid answers. This is killing me. Also, anyone know how likely a 15T (blackhawk mechanic) is to be deployed/how frequently?
