i dont think it would be that easy as some may think.
check this
firstly with all the population numbers yea but its not like the whole population of the ocuntries are fighting. Australia has the advantage being the home ground, supported by the entire armys of Oceania.
Australia also has superior military equipment supplied by the US (most likely) and a far superior navy. I personally think South East Asia would lose the most battles initially, and suffer far more casualties.
Navy is a big factor.
South East Asians are the best at guerrila warfare in the world, in the jungles. The Australian landscape may not be as suitable.

The best way would be to invade NZ first!! and use the country as a launch pad into the east coast of Australia.
Theyd have to land near Wellington and south of Auckland. (Bombay hills or Hamilton areas). There are 1 million plus people in Auckland the city would be difficult to control without APCs and troop vehicles, so some huge staging point will be needed with helicopters flying in ground transport
round the clock. The country areas would be harder to control, the farmers and country folk would make formidable guerilla fighters, the ranges and forest areas would be where they will camp. Australia is mostly desert and red sand they would be easy beats...... at least for th first week or so...all the Asians would have to do is take over Darwin and draw the Aussie troops into the state, then once the majority of Aussies are camped out around Darwin launch another attack somewhere else (like Brisbane or Melbourne) the fighting would be vicious because the Aussies would have to kill all the Asians who are already there,( just to feel safe ) Obviously beach heads would have to be established all along the top of Australias coastlines and theyd have to move down the east coast and on towards Sydney and Canberra.

The Australian Allies would clearly win because of there equipment but really Australia and New Zealand would most likely fight on there own with very small help from Tonga and Fiji.
No help will come from Papua New Guinea because they can not risk decreasing there military.
The South-East Asian allies will barely get any troops on the Australia to get a foot old because of how small the combined Naval forces are leaving it to a Missile and Naval combat war (Except in Papua New Guinea whilst Australia and New Zealand sends aid there).

Well let's compare militaries first: - NK has larger military that trains constantly because their leader is crazy. They have poor equipment and cannot keep up with a war (food, living costs etc.). - Australia has smaller and more elite military (due to the technology they get from America). Weapons are better for Aussies. Aussies in NK would lose, NK going to Aussieland would die before they got there. However this is pointless since Australia would get immediate help from USA, NK would have no help since China would NOT risk being attacked just for NK. Even if the US didn't fight consider: US would give money, weapons, even more training, they'd more than likely send troops to Australia to help protect the homeland while Australian troops are gone. If it were 1-on-1 (which wouldn't happen) then by tactics and situations that Australia would pursue (not going into NK): Australia wins.

sounds like a repeat of WW2, or even the Napoleonic War
The East Asians have the numbers, but to win they have to cross the sea.
Not likely to happen- the defenders (Australia) have a better air force- F111 and F18 as well as the ability to detect an invading force at very long range - which means the ability to make multiple attacks against an invading fleet.
Whatever invasion forces survived that would have to face a defending army (including Australia's Leopard tanks) which could be concentrated in one spot (again the advantage of much superior reconnaissance).
Even if several landing sites are chosen, the geography of Australia makes it possible to isolate these spots and then destroy the invaders one by one.
Add to this the likelihood of civil war between the invaders- after all very little would be needed to start a battle between the assembled Christians, Muslims and Buddhists
Your hypothetical question might not be one. Except think China as the invader- within 10-20 years

Im from Philipines and i love my country, but to be honest since southeast asia are the one doing the attacking Australia will win because of the equipment and manpower and in southeast asia Indonesia is the strongest in terms of the power index measurement of each country and i think its the only well equiped country with their navy and air force in south east asia, Philippines is only strong in terms of infantry but on equipments we lack most of it we don't even have a single tank, destroyer, submarine, aircarft carriers and i think all we have are 14 armored vehicles and 38 towed artillery (land forces only) navy and air force is a different story and by the way in terms of transporting our troops to australia it will be hard and by the time we get there australia will have already made a blockade

Australia and New Zealand Airforce alone would decimate any invasion from South East Asia. The Indonesians are full of contempt for us however they POSITIVELY CANNOT AFFORD TO KEEP A JET FIGHTER IN THE SKY ! They simply would not stand a chance against our Air & Ground defence. The majority of Australian Battalions are now based in Darwin to deter such a theat ! A ground invasion of Indonesia on the other hand would be a nightmare for us as they are the worlds LARGEST POPULATED MUSLIM NATION !! We see the trouble the USA are having in Iraq against a determined Muslim Population full of hate and contempt. In short though no one in the South Pacific could afford to do anything if it wasn't for Australias continued foreign aid and support. We give this aid on humanitarian grounds but mainly to maintain stability in the region. I have mates who have worked extensively in Jakarta and know the Indos can't afford a thing ! We all know technologically they don't exist !
The New Zealanders smashed England when the Poms tried to invade, don't doubt their pride and aggression aka a Nation full of "All Blacks" the ANZAC Spirit is alive and well ! Our SAS is widely the most secretive and effective in the world, they were the first Special Forces into Afghanistan and have not suffered a fatality ! Simply too good. Other than that Ten Million Australian men armed and wanting to kill ! to defend their homes ! The Japs tried it 75 years ago, we destroyed their plans and sunk 4 Jap subs in Sydney Harbour. No one less would stand a chance ! An invasion through the north would be "unsurvivable" for an invasion force, the topography, climate and crocs added with no supply lines ! No they wouldn't stand a chance. We are currently undertaking to train the Phillipines ARMY as we are by far the best to do so. We are also supplying the Phills with 30 fast speed gun boats to counter terrorism and ward off Indonesia incase they want to commit an insurgency as they did in East Timor ! Our Pacific Islander friends would be effective against an impoverished Indonesian insurgency. The best they could hope for would be to invade tiny islands nearby and commit other attrocities than run as per usual !

South East Asia wouldn't have a chance. Their strength of numbers means nothing without a way to bring those numbers to Oceania. And your hypothetical says nothing about a third power who may have no interest in defending Oceania but would gladly exploit the weakness South East Asia would have in the massive resource drain. Could SEA mount a MAJOR offensive AND defend themselves at the same time? Don't think so.

I would have to agree with The Rhino. You might also consider these countries allies as well and the fact that South East Asia has a huge Muslim population. I mean, when one Muslim suffers, the Muslim population of the world unite.
