Well, I have signed the petition, from the link in your other posting of this matter.
To Aryana, I'm sure you will receive a violation for your disgraceful comments, and I hope you will treasure it as this Gurkha treasured his War Honours.
And to "My World" - the comments were not aimed directly at the US army in general, but at those who have been responsible for killing comrades in so called "friendly fire". There have been several incidents of this. They were also aimed at Aryana, who felt it necessary to slander Britain, to use your term

Leeds, I appreciate the sentiment you display towards the Gurkas. I know that they are among the toughest fighting forces around.

I DON'T appreciate your slander towards the US Army, and their shooting skills. Personally, I have never missed what I put my sights on, nor have those individuals that I have trained. If you don't like the way the Army shoots, then get the hell out of the way and let us do our job.

Welcome to my world

To Markymark.

You are wrong.

The Daily Mail has highlighted this story since it became widely known, and I doubt anyone of their readers would not want this hero in our country.

They have also supported the fight for Gurkha's to receive pensions on a level with their English counterparts, regardless of where they live after leaving the army.

This guys plight has no effect on my ability to be proud to be British, it does however add to my mounting despair at the powers that be.

I would ask who keeps voting for these people, but what's the point?

It's not as if the alternatives are any different to them is it?

The question is- why do they allow in all the scruffy muslim no hopers- but not people who actually contribute like this?

Is is indeed very, very shabby treatment.
Blame the Leftist elite for this- it is them who control the Home Office and the criminal inept Reid- hardly the Daily Mail.
If the Daily Mail truly effected policy- would've never experienced 7/7- the Muslims would never have been here!

PS I don't read newspapers- I find them grubby.

Gurkha war hero's agony

By TOM NEWTON DUNN
Defence Editor

MUSEUM chiefs have broken a Gurkha war hero’s heart by refusing to let him see his treasured Victoria Cross one final time.

Fearless Lieutenant Tulbahadur Pun, 89, won the nation’s top medal for bravery during World War II.

Aged just 21, he single-handedly stormed two Japanese armed positions with his Bren Gun blazing from his hip after his comrades were wiped out in Burma.

Now the ageing hero — who lives in poverty in Nepal — has begged his old Army regiment’s museum to send him his medal so he can wear it with pride before he dies.

But museum bosses have refused, saying the VC no longer belongs to him.

Tulbahadur — one of only 12 winners of the VC still alive — is too unwell to travel to the UK.

He said he handed over the medal to the Gurkha Museum in Winchester, Hants, for safekeeping in the ’70s on officers’ advice.

He told The Sun: “Until 1995, I used to go to the UK and wear my Victoria Cross. Now I would like to wear it again before I leave the Earth — I can’t understand why they won’t let me.”

The grandfather of 15 is forced to spend all his VC pension on medicines for his heart problems.

London barrister Rebekah Wilson, who is representing him, said: “The medal is something he cherishes. Time is not on his side and I think it would be shameful if he did not get to see his medal again.”

But Gurkha Museum curator Gerald Davies said: “Tulbahadur Pun’s medal has been donated to the museum by his regimental association.

“We have a duty of care to ensure this medal is available to the public to see and it is secure.”

The citation for Tulbahadur’s VC praises his “outstanding courage and superb gallantry” in capturing the Japanese machine-gun posts and killing three enemies.

Yes, it does.
I very much hope our veterans get what they deserve, even if they're not from the UK, they fought for us none-the-less.
