I'm very proud of all who are serving. I was married to an Air Force man for 14 years, lived all over the place( of course) on and off base, even though divorced now, I hold a strong admiration and sense of family for our military personnel.

i am a war historian, and the second world war is my fav subject, in that war the bravery and courage of the soviet soldier was what defeated hitler and nazi germany, Hitler had nearly 2 million of his best troops and armour and air force on the eastern front to fight the soviets, while only haveing a measley 500.000 in the western front, on the eastern front the soviets fought house to house and had to hand battles, while on the western front the u.s and it's allies used aierl bombings form a safe high distance tactic, and even now in iraq...when a group of fighters start shooting at u.s forces from a house, instead of going in to raid the position with infantry they call in air strikes which results in killing may many civillians. This kind of cowardly tactic is used by america in iraq and afghanistan everyday,No wonder the iraqi civillian death rate is in the hundreds of thousands.

Pearl Harbour and 9/11 (if 911 can be classed as a military attack) are the only instances that come to my mind, against which it seems the US is always in conflict somewhere on the globe. Am I mistaken?

First drop bombs split the army up...
next take over the govt and disband the army
doesnt this just send everyone home and create the problem we have now?
then spend 10 years fighting insurgents?

not to mention all of the pissed of husbands and fathers that will fight because we accidentally killed their family dropping bombs

is my logic incorrect?

My son is 3 year old, and the father and I were never married. He has my maiden name, his father isn't on the birth certificate, and never set up and visitiation/custody arrangements through the court. He does pay child support, and does see my son regularly.

I notified my sons father that we were moving to South Korea about 2 days after the flight was booked (told him Nov. 18th, flight is for Dec. 6th) He's now taking me to court, and the pre-trial is December 4th. He's trying to get full custody and a restraining order (I assume so that I can't take my son).

What are the odds that my lawyer and I will win this case? Do you think I'll be able to go on my scheduled date? Please, serious answers only, and don't "guess".

We reside in the state of Ohio, and my husband and I have a daughter together (don't know if any of that makes a difference)

Ok..i got my husband some sunglasses at a kiosk in our mall today. They are a brand NYS Collection or something like that..
i got him the polarized ones thinking that was what he needed in iraq but then tonight he said he needs ones that arent going to give a shine or something and that are shatterproof.

will the ones i got work or do they have to be non glare (or reflection..whatever) and shatterproof on top of the polarized.

I'm a senior in high school, I did a program last year and got around 15 credits towards an associates degree for criminal justice. I've always wanted to go to the Marines for at least 4 years, maybe longer depending how it went and if I liked it or not, and then coming out and being a police officer.

Would it be a better idea to finish my degree, I'll do that either way, and become a Police Officer and go reserves in the Marines or enlist in the Marines and become a Police Officer if I ever get out? Why?

(3)for college could i enlist as a warrant officer, become a pilot, and take the army's college courses, and after graduating can i enlist as an officer?

(4)how hard is the actual flight training, and what do you do?how hard is the written part of it?

(5)after becoming a pilot how much time do you spend flying?

(6)how old do you have to apply to become a army helicopter pilot,18?

I got a 119 on my DLAB which means I'll be placed in the most difficult languages at DLI, and will probably learn Arabic.
Which also probably means I'll be going to the middle east.

Without revealing any classified information, can you tell me what life would be like, should I end up in Iraq? Will I be kicking down doors and interrogating people nonstop, or will I be listening to radios/intereference/etc in a desert tent?

I'm not really scared. Hell, I could get hit by a bus tomorrow and die, but I'd rather prevent that from happening for as long as possible. I'm just trying to gauge what I might be experiencing so I can mentally prepare myself before I ship out.

Thanks...
