Most of you pointed out that Soldiers are getting paid way too low, especially for some who put their lives on the line every minute in Iraq/Afghanistan, so how much do you think a Soldier should be getting paid? monthly and yearly wise?

thank you

Currently I work for a girl out of her home doing accounting (books) for small companies. I went to school for this job, but I dont know if its for me? I find myself bored, and in bad moods when I go home. I work by myself all day, and have only been here for 5 months, but Im really starting to not like it.
My boyfriend is in the military, and I have always wanted to join. But wasnt totally sure. I could be making more money and still do the accounting/clerical duties if Im in the military.
So my question is, should I wait it out and see if my job gets better? Or should I try something new, and join the Military?
What would you do in this case?

How dare the government do this?

Our boys are coming back from iraq & afghanistan, completely f*cked up, lost limbs, eye-sight, disabled, paraplegic and with NO FINANCIAL HELP from the MOD and we send the Cave Dwellers £250million POUNDS A YEAR?

I am sickened. Completely and utterly stunned.

We HAVE TO DO SOMETHING PEOPLE!

My family is flying to Australia in mid-Dec (staying there for 7 days) but recent news have stated that Al-Qaeda terrorists may plant bombs there, and my Dad thinks it might be during Christmas! How credible is he?

And will Al-Qaeda strike during that period? I know we can't tell but just give me evidence and probability...

Thanks, much appreciated.

In 60 years since independence, Indian social system has seen all round deterioration so far as morality as best practice is concerned. Democratic institutions have been hijacked by persons of dubious and criminal records. Other pillars of democracy have similarly seen unhealthy practices as a result whereof common man have lost faith in each and every system . Rule of law has become a dream. Murder, loot, bribery, indiscipline in public and retribution systems, conspiracy, intolerance, rising terrrorism, over-importance to and aggrandisment of people of undeserving character, insecurity of our women folk - be it in family or out on street, etc, etc. There seems no other option to cope with and remove this disastrous trend than to opt for ARMY RULE atleast for 10-20 years may bring desirable result and hope for a better and disciplined society somewhat free of corruption and malpractices.

Allowing 'Gays' to serve with the other troupes in a combat situation, : How does the 'Average American Soldier of today' feel about this??
I happen to be from the 1950's and early 1960's Army, but I, (and I believe that others from the past active duty status) may not have the same opinions, as our "Younger" troupes of today have, BUT, today I am not on 'active duty' status.
PLEASE, MILITARY PERSONNEL ANSWERS, ONLY. THIS QUESTION IS POSTED TO OBTAIN CURRENT INFO INPUT, FROM THOSE WHO MAY BE DIRECTLY EFFECTED.
THANK YOU, "HEROS", "MAY THE BIG GENERAL UP HIGH, SMILE UPON YOU, AND YOUR FAMILIES"!!!

The army soldiers are the nationalitry holders of the country and they are like all other people. Then why are they tagged as 'non-civilians'?

Sensible answers only please. I include a link to my previous question (apologies if you've already answered) about what weapon the soldier is firing from the hip at 5:00-5:07; a .50 cal seems to be the agreed weapon but I have never heard of them being fired from the hip like this before- I thought they were much to heavy and recoil was a wrist-breaker?

Thanks!

We came to your aid during World War I and World War II. We came to France's aid in French Indochina. Why do you hate us now? We fought for the British in Iraq after the British partioned off Kuwait. We fought for the British after they created the division of India and Pakistan, politically if not by war. We came to Britain's aid wherever Britian or France has needed us. So why now, do you hate us and resent us for our follies?

I found it out in this documentary that I watched few days ago.
Today a lot of counrties have nukes that way more powerful!!

After we saw the incredible impact of these two "weak" bombs, can you imagine the powerful ones?

So my question is:
Dont you think it is stupid for humans to build these bombs without even considering the consequences?

I am joining the Coast Guard, and I already have my associates degree. Anyway, I was wondering what is life like there? How are the people? When they do the security background check before you join, do they give you a lie detector test? Is it a somewhat easy job? Please, no smart *** answers..Thank you
