Wouldn't it be great if schools and hospitals had everything they needed......and the army had to hold jumble sales to get money for bulletts and bombs!

Okay. Im 18. I have asked a prior question before.

I want to recruit myself since I want to persue my career in the airline industry/commercial pilot. Thus I want to join so they can pay my tuition(very expensive). I think people misunderstood me by thinking I only wanted to 'use' or take advantage of the military force.

The fact is I also want to join because I have a passion for planes, I'm willing to work with planes all my life. But preferable being a pilot. So the reason for joining is of course to fight our freedom, but also to work with their planes (engineering?) and have a helping hand to pay for my flights.

I have bad eyes to fly the air force jets, so I would join to inspect their planes, Which I believe is engineering?

Also would it matter which military branch I would chose to work with planes, I have seen the US Navy have jets in their ship.

How would I go about with this. How would you do? I just need a little facts. Thanks. ;)

How insensible it seems to even attempt such a port call. It was an aircraft carrier battle group, including a nuke sub! What if it were detained in some fake emergency sort of way, etc. Do I want communists perusing my nation's arsenal? No!
Would I like a dozen communist chinese warships making a port call to, say, Seattle or New York City? No! They are NOT (yet?) our friends! Yeah, we hope for the best concerning China, but why play the part of a fool. We give too much, too freely, thinking we will change the hearts of all our adversaries. Sometimes it helps: sometimes it ...is foolish. Why take chances too much? Too many things can go wrong if things go wrong. There is too much at stake. Or do we want to actually GIVE them our technology instead of ...uh, hmm,...giving them our technology,...as we so foolishly did some years ago. As they have demonstrated themselves by their instability in this matter, it was a foolish choice by our gov't. that needs to stop

If we faced a situation that was similar to the second world war. How many young british men would stand up to the aggresor. Many older people seem to think we are all to soft and we would not last 10 minutes. I say this in light of the present conflicts we face where no one knows what to think. But in a black and white situtation like fighting the Nazis, what would you do?

I heard from a friend that a few european countries allow you to do this. I know the french foreign legion allows you to be a french citizen after five years but do any other countries armies offer this?
This is merely out of curiosity.

Hello. I start basic soon and am hopefully off to the Coldstream Guards.

When I was a boy and my grandpa was alive he'd tell me all of his wartime stories and I grew up on a diet of nostalgia and WW2 documentaries which shaped me in the years to come. I am eager to join today's Army but am wondering, I'd really like to see and experience some echoes of the Army my grandpa joined seventy years ago- will I find any?

Thanks!

I am a South African citizen and I want to join the Royal marines, I would just like to know, which Visa I should apply for that will allow me to serve, and not be rejected as a result of having the wrong Visa. In other words, I want to be able to focus on mental and physical preparation and not worry that my application, airfares, and moving will be in vain should they reject me on grounds of having a holiday Visa.

I'm in my first semester of college but the college that I go to doesn't have a Navy ROTC program, it only has Army ROTC. I was thinking about transferring to a college that has Navy but all of the colleges near me that have it are too difficult to get into. If I enlisted in the Navy now, what are the ways in which I could become an officer someday?

Apparently after 3 late payments, they deducted the payment from his pay. I now know that he was supposed to send in info letting them know he was going on deployment. My question is, is there any way to get this money back? Can we send the deployment info in and get refunded the late fees? I've looked up their policies online and i cant seem to find anything relating to this. Anyone have this problem?
