Funny you should say that, because I pay out of my own pocket for all of my gear, or almost all of it. So clearly you have no idea what you are talking about. But because you want that, I can understand. We will also further cut spending by giving the police really good running shoes rather than cars, and sling shots rather than guns. And the next someone shoots up a school and they can't do anything to stop it, or a country invades and we can't stop them because our bake sale didn't go well last month. We can all wonder on our way to the Mosque as the survivors would be forced in to a Muslim life. You and the other three wives to your one husband who is ligally allowed to beat you, can all say together, " Wouldn't it be nice if the Military had everything they needed to protect our way of life and we didn't give so much to lazy people on well fare?".

the relatives of soldiers have had jumble sales to buy safety equipment. The immigrants are the ones ruining are schools and hospitals. When the day comes we will need the army to kick them out.

Don't think that's a very good idea but do think our leaders who are the ones who declare wars/police actions should be held allot more accountable for using our military.
I've read, we are into well over a trillion dollars on the mess the Bush Administration has made. A trillion dollars would take care of all the schools, hospitals and health care to boot.

I don't want to seem cruel or awkward but this is a view that is so naive that it almost doesn't deserve an answer. It would be nice in an idealistic world if countries did not need forces or police for that matter. Sadly the world is not like that. History suggests that for good or not so good reasons countries might decide to invade other countries. If you have no army or navy how does a country defend itself?

If you enjoy puerile and shallow chit-chat or otherwise violating the question-and-answer format then read the rules before you play the game. Yahoo! I served in the forces and believe it or not we never had tnough of the correct kit that we needed. The forces do not get money thrown at them as most people think and most soldiers buy their own equipment as it is better than the crap that is issued.

The fantasy dream of universal peace is indeed seductive, but it is a false siren song. Human nature prevents its occurrance.

And the failure to heed human nature and prepare against those who wish you harm will only invite war and violence from others.

No country was ever attacked because others believed it to be too strong.

Well lets see you avatar is a female. So using your logic you would not have to worry about getting an education because we are facing an enemy that believes woman should not be educated. Of course chances are you would not have to worry about that as waiting in food lines like they did in the USSR would be your biggest problem.

You can't just wish that schools, hospitals, and the military had EVERYTHING they needed. You find it necessary to put down the military.
...It's kind of sad, really.
