No recruiter is going to tell you something that will stop you from enlisting.
Even if you believe recruiters lie, your argument makes no sense. If a recruiter did lie it would be to get you in, right?
I know a lot of recruiters and they know that getting caught in a lie would be the death of their career. I doubt you are worth that to them.
To put my comment is prospective:
If a recruiter fails to meet quota, they go back to the fleet. While the mark against them will hurt promotion in the short term, they can recover if they are any good at their rate.
If a recruiter is caught in a lie, they can lose a stripe, pay, freedom, etc (captains mast or court martial depending on the severity of the lie). Once this has happened, if they are retained in the Navy they will never make chief.
If a recruiter says you can't join if you drop out, why would you NOT believe that? If you could drop out and join, he would say yes. He wants people in. He gets credit for enlistments, not high school graduations

I am surprised he said it was that high. the Marines, Air Force and Navy will NOT take you with a GED unless you also have 15 hours of college credits. The Army takes the most each year, and even that number is only a small percentage of all enlistees.
do yourself a favor and stick it out. don't quit, you will regret it for the rest of your life.
if you can't handle high school, what makes you think you can handle the military?

If you can't handle a simple thing like school, what in the world makes you think you can handle real life, not to mention the military? Personal reasons for wanting to drop out of school show that you don't have the discipline or fortitude to continue on despite your problems. Do you think you won't have personal issues in the military? The fact that you think recruiters lie a lot shows your immaturity and your ignorance. While there are a few recruiters who do lie, the majority of them do not. Stay in school and grow a spine.

If you can't handle school now, then there is a good chance you won't be able to handle enlistment in the Navy anyways.
School is a playground, the military is the "real world"

you can easily get in with a GED, especially if you score good on the testing. The Navy even accepts a certain amount of people with no ged or diploma if they score well enough. They accepted my son without either.

Dont give up on school, you wont regret it if you stay. You will regret it if you dont. Trust me, I dropped out and I still wish I had just stuck it out and its been 7 years since then. Good luck, stay strong
Isnt the Navy the best of the best or something, maybe that the air force, but either way, doing your best can only help you, sooo do it.

You could get in. A lot of it depends on how you to on the ASVAB. Which ironically is a test on how much you learned in school. It is all up to you, if you can do great or decent on that test then you have nothing to worry about.
