In 60 years since independence, Indian social system has seen all round deterioration so far as morality as best practice is concerned. Democratic institutions have been hijacked by persons of dubious and criminal records. Other pillars of democracy have similarly seen unhealthy practices as a result whereof common man have lost faith in each and every system . Rule of law has become a dream. Murder, loot, bribery, indiscipline in public and retribution systems, conspiracy, intolerance, rising terrrorism, over-importance to and aggrandisment of people of undeserving character, insecurity of our women folk - be it in family or out on street, etc, etc. There seems no other option to cope with and remove this disastrous trend than to opt for ARMY RULE atleast for 10-20 years may bring desirable result and hope for a better and disciplined society somewhat free of corruption and malpractices.

Such ‘Martial Law’ should not be of Pakistan or Burma Model, but something unique and indigenously Indian in form and substance. After all, some of the great eras in Indian history (Chandragupta Maurya , an Army commander under Danananda the last king of the Nanda Dynasty of Magadha, became the first ever Indian Emperor c. 325 – 296 BC, to name one) are indicative of rulers from grass-root level, joining armed forces, constant rise in the hierarchy, establishing their credentials and worth, and gradually taking the mantles of ruling a State. In Europe, one such name is Napoleon Bonaparte (1769 – 1821) but for whom France (ruled 1804-14 & again 1814-15) would not have been what it is today.

To make our country free from corruption, basically the unaccounted cash transactions should be avoided. For that the following system may be adopted. We welcome your valuable suggestions. In this system citizens of India above 12 years of age will receive a cell phone (identification instrument capable of data processing with the aid of network services and the master computer. It will be integrated with Global Positioning System.) with built in history card, camera and finger print scanner. Every citizen will be assigned with an identification number *** cell phone number with finger print details. Problems with the cell phone instrument will be immediately attended otherwise it will be replaced with another good working one with the same data drawn from the data bank of the master computer. Tourists from other countries will be given temporary instrument and their activities will be noted continuously. Children under 12 years of age have to be taken care by parents or guardians. Peoples are doing mistakes because they believe that nobody notices. The history card consists of the following details and will be operated automatically from master computer through reliable networking systems. 1.Name, 2. Family history, 3. This was what we deserved and needed immediately after independence with gradual transition to democracy. Now the country is more diverse than ever, people in crores used to indiscipline and unruliness and vast area with people having mastered all ways of bypassing rule of law ,it is impossible. Moreover the armedforces whose bravery and not the weaponry with which we could defend our country is a highly corrupt institution now ,dangerously low on morale ; thank god nuclear options have become a reality otherwise a conventional war would be unthinkable.

In the name of clean governance and removing corruption supporting marshal law is suicidal. Now may be the politicians and bureaucrats are corrupt. In marshal law the marshals and people at the helm of affairs will be corrupt. There are so many instances in history there was heavy corruption in marshal laws and dictatorships. The economic system you live in have to be changed to eradicate or minimise corruption not the form of government.

Give me name of one uncorrupt, seasoned statesman with leadership skills who can govern India during martial law.
And name examples of army dept. which have not been touched by corruption.

Corruption is a mental disease affecting the society and its individuals and spread thru negative words and actions its kind of self-perpetuating and spreads much faster than any known virus/bacteria.

You cant cure corruption using other humans susceptible to or already corrupt, you need an impeccable and strong person to fight corruption and that has to come from all citizens.

I would only ever approve of imposing Martial Law as a last resort, however, the poor people who have to live under the current regime might be thankful for it in this instance. I really hope things improve soon.

someone will complain even if they was to be hung by a knew rope. So it matters not how they come about a temporary peace once what ever they use is gone they will go right back to what they had. Maybe after two or three generation with a good education things would change.

One good point he has raised rather demanded, Government should immediately devalue Rs.500 & Rs.1000 currencies and ask the people to collect currencies of lower valid denomination in exchange by giving the account. This will immediately expose major black money as most of the Black money holders keep only higher denomination for convenience. But government is not accepting this demand. Does it mean that they have more of this currencies?

honey, it is "Martial Law"!

and the idea is hilarious. it will never work out the way you hope it will. because a military regime is not free of corruption either - at least it will not stay free of corruption for very long.
what you need is democracy, education for the kids, and a working economy. but please don't ask me how to provide for it, I don't know!
