I know when I was in Basic Military Training (BMT), there were several people who had ROTC in High School and were awarded E-3 upon graduation of BMT. The one thing I don't know is how many years they had done it for. Your bet best would be to contact a recruiter because they would know for sure what 2 years would give you. I know when I went through, I signed for 6 years and was given the rank of E-3 when I graduated my technical training school, but for the entire time you are in BMT, everyone is an E-1.
As for the promotion times and requirements, go to the link I gave in sources and read chapter 2. It explains the entire promotion process..
hope this helps a little bit.

If you have 2 years of JROTC you will enter the USAF as an E-2. It doesn't help you get promoted any faster in the long run. I entered as an E-2 (Eagle Scout) and the only rank it helps you get faster is E-3, but they you still have to wait around for E-4 just like all the people that entered as an E-1. What sux is that if you enter as an E-3 you will get E-4 faster. Gay isnt it?
E-1; Basic Recruit
E-2; 6 months time in grade as an E-1, or can join under special circumstances (Eagle Scout, 2 years JROTC, Some College)
E-3; 10 months time in grade as an E-2, or can also join under special circumstances (More College credits, 3-4 years of JROTC). You can make E-3 also if you enlist for 6 years. You will put it on at the completion of tech school, or at 22 weeks time in service, whichever comes first.
E-4; 36 months time in service if entered Active duty as an E-1/2, or 28 months time in service if entered as E-3. You can join as an E-4 only if you have all ready attained a Bachelors degree. This is rare as if you have a bachelors degree it makes more sense to go to OCS than enlist.
After E-4, all enlisted grades are through testing and scores.

The Air Force does not give advanced enlistment rank for two years of JROTC.
So you would enlist as an E-1.
You enlist as an E-2 in the AF:
Two years of College ROTC
Eagle Scout
20 semester hours of College credits.
To enlist as an E-3 in the AF:
Billy Mitchell, Amelia Earhart, or Carl Spaatz Award while in the CAP.
Completed a JROTC program of atleast 3 years.
Satisfactorily completed 45 semester hours of college credit
Enlist for 6 years - would become an E-3 after graduation of Tech School, with a date of rank being the graduation from Basic training.
If you enlist as an E-1, then you are promoted to E-2 after 6 months in the AF.
You are promoted to E-3, 10 months after you are promoted to E-2.
You are promoted to E-4, 20 months after being promoted to E-3.
If you enlist as an E-3, then you are promoted to E-4, after 28 months.

Nope. JROTC does not count for anything. You would still start as an E-1 (Airman Basic). Even if it were ROTC, your first 2 years are only General Military Courses and you would go in as E-1. I'm afraid the only benefit you would have over everyone else would be the ability to more effectively shine your shoes. You might have an advantage in customs and courtesies as well as facing movements but it all depends on how much you remember and what your JROTC program was like in high school.
Promotions are given by years of service as well as preformance. Your best bet is to go to college and go through ROTC if you're looking to promote rapidly. If you graduate from college, you would commission as a 0-1, which outranks an E-9 ... even if the E-9 has 50 years of service.
E-2 (Airman)
E-3 (Airman First Class)
E-4 (Senior Airman)
E-5 (Staff Sergeant)
E-6 (Technical Sergeant)
E-7 (Master Sergeant)
E-7 (Master Sergeant First Sergeant)
E-8 (Senior Master Sergeant First Sergeant)
E-9 (Chief Master Sergeant First Sergeant)
O-1 Second Lieutenant
O-2 First Lieutenant
O-3 Captain
O-4 Major
O-5 Lieutenant Colonel
O-6 Colonel
O-7 Brigadier General
O-8 Major General
O-9 Lieutenant General
O-10 General
O-10 General of the Air Force
E-10 (Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force

You should talk to a recruiter but dont sign anything. Ask questions and don't let them bully you. Be firm and ask questions. You can come in as E2 or E3 depending on certain number of college credits, jrotc, etc. You are E1 through basic training and promoted upon graduation. Others have said it doesnt help in the long run but it can. If you are promoted early you can prepare yourself to be promoted sooner than others early. Yes you have to wait the same amount of time but you have a head start and if nothing else...it's extra money for a couple of years. If you are going to join anyway...extra money is not a bad thing. a person with the same amount of time as you will be E1 and you will be E3. It's a higher paygrade...that adds up over two years. The Air Force is not a perfect job...it asks a lot of you. It takes you away from family..but it also has a lot to offer. It can provide a decent stable living for you and a family. No job is perfect but some you can be proud of. This is one of them. And get to see many places you might not have ever imagined seeing if you dont. Talk to recruiter, try to find someone like me who is in and can be honest and explain both good and bad aspects. Make up your own mind with good information!

It is ALWAYS 2 minutes for push ups and sit ups. Females: 1.5 Mile Run - 13:56 Sit-Ups - 50 (in 2 minutes) Push-Ups - 27 (in 2 minutes) Males: 1.5 mile Run - 11:57 Sit-Ups - 50 (in 2 minutes) Push-Ups - 45 (in 2 minutes) To qualify for the "Warhawk" Physical Fitness Award, the minimum standards are: females: 1.5 Mile Run - 10:55 Sit-Ups - 60 (in 2 minutes) Push-Ups - 40 (in 2 minutes) Pull-Ups - 5 males: 1.5 mile Run - 08:55 Sit-Ups - 70 (in 2 minutes) Push-Ups - 65 (in 2 minutes) Pull-Ups - 10 For the most up to date answers, check with your local MEPS office. EDIT: Sit up requirement used to be 47 in 1998 when I went through BMT, so some of the requirements have changed to be a little stricter. The run used to be 14:30 as well, however, when you get down to it, that's what the requirements are! Even if you can't do it at the beginning of BMT, you will do enough exercising to get to where you can do them without any problems. They expect you to be in good shape...don't expect less just because it's the Air Force.

You are required to have two years military sciences (JROTC) in order to get a contract promotion. Being that you have that then the AF recruiter should offer you E3. If you dont get it in writting then walk out and talk to a different recruiter. To get promoted in any branch you are graded on several things: Physical fitness, Job Performance, General Military Knowledge, and you are required to have a certain amount of time in each rank unless you get a meritorious board.
