Currently I work for a girl out of her home doing accounting (books) for small companies. I went to school for this job, but I dont know if its for me? I find myself bored, and in bad moods when I go home. I work by myself all day, and have only been here for 5 months, but Im really starting to not like it.
My boyfriend is in the military, and I have always wanted to join. But wasnt totally sure. I could be making more money and still do the accounting/clerical duties if Im in the military.
So my question is, should I wait it out and see if my job gets better? Or should I try something new, and join the Military?
What would you do in this case?

Joining the military is a big committment. Unlike your current job, you can't just quit. I enjoy being in the military. It has good days and bad, just like any other job, but the benefits are awesome. Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do!

There are a lot of very good answers that I have read to your question.
I was 18, graduated from high school, had a great education on repairing cars and thought that is what I wanted to do with my life.
I moved to Oregon from Calif. to look for a job and 1 week after getting there they drew for the last year of the draft. That was back in 1971. I ended up in the Army because of the draft and I was at first against it but my dad and his dad and really all of my family were patriots so I joined, got a great education and great (sometimes painful) experiences from serving but I grew up and can face just about anything anyone throws at me.
It is an education you will get no where else in this world. It can be risky but so is driving on the street.
Do it and you will not be sorry. Your parents and friends will be proud of you also.

Do some thinking first. Joining the military isn't just like changing civilian jobs. It means making a commitment, doing waht needs to be done, going where you're sent and subordinating your own preferences to your duties. Unless you're ready for that, you don't belong in the military.

Join the Air Force!

You could always join the USAF and be an Intelligence photo stacker, apparently they never leave stateside and have a nice cushy 9-5 job. Be careful to avoid real Air Force jobs like forward air control people who get their boots dirty on enemy soil.

Military life is always an option, but it is not for everyone.

When I talked to my troops about re-enlistment I always told them "some can, some can't, some should , and some shouldn't.

I have to tell you the same. Military life is not the easiest life but for me it was extremely rewarding. What ever you decide I thank you for even considering service to our country.

Go into the NAVY!!

Jus kidding. but what you seriously need to do is research all the branches online and decide what suits your interest and what you are good at.

GOD BLESS
and thank you for wanting to serve.
