Yeah WWII was worse, but at least the soldiers knew what they were fighting for, they were fighting for something good, but I really don't think the poor young kids know what they're fighting for, I doubt anybody knows including Bush.

the US is heading for a depression soon. our dollar is waning...even Canada has a better ratio than us. buckle down America. we are in for hard times. maybe not 1930's like but close. it's a reality slap in the face.

Please, we lost around 3900 soldiers in 5 years. In WWII we lost over & I mean OVER 400,000. Not to mention that we attacked Germany as well as Japan. However. Germany Never launched an Attack on us. their only attacks at that time we in self defense, by limiting the number of supply ships to the Brits. on 9/11 we were attacked on our own soil. FYI: Pearl Harbor, Hawaii was not part of the USA in 1941. Hawaii did not become part of a America until August 21 1959! Yes, our military was attacked back then, and now Peaceful people going to work were attacked here on US soil. Sorry, but Iran needs to be next

Yeah, we arn't spending any money trying to improve Iraq's infrastructure. We couldn't possibly be giving medical aid to those who can't afford it, etc etc etc. We are trying to get them some of the same freedoms that America tends to take for granted. The Soldiers that have died know this, and they'll be remembered by a thankful population enjoying newfound freedoms - if we don't pull out and leave them to a new jihad regime. Could it hurt to think about others less fortunate than you for once? The Soldiers do everyday, they give their lives so you can enjoy yours!

I like to look at the things our country is accomplishing all over the world. When i see all of the countrys that we have helped it makes me proud and humble to see our friends sacrificing their lives for the greater good of this earth.

Thier is a documentary put on by pbs called america at the crossroads.

One particular episode explores all of the places america is in the world, it helped me to relize just how vital we are to this planet. Without us many places would be much worse off.

Its true it is pricey in dollars to have such a strong global presence but someone needs to step up and help the world out. whether it be for Gorgian Independance, Korean freedom from communism, that little island country china dosn't like, Columbia's freedom from druglords, The many hospitals set up by our goverment in suffering countryies, helping The fillipines, and many other small footprint missions that arn't even mentioned but are vital to the worlds growth..

post script: there is another documentary that really shows our troops in action it is either from pbs or discovery its about an Iraqi man who was given a camera by a norweigen reporter to film durring the war. It opened my eyes to what is going on over there, to see it from an iraqi mans view.

It would be a lot worse if we pull out of Iraq (if that is the war you are talking about)

Becasue if we do, it will embolden the terrorists and the will foment attacks on our soil. . Imagine the level of terror bombings in Iraq here on american soil.

Any war is in a way a tragety. . But I am reminded of a sign which said:

War never solved anything
Except
Slavery,
Nazism,
fascism,
the killing of jews

But there are times when wars must be fought. .It is every mothers nightmare. . but for us to remain the country we are, we have to be strong.

hope this helps

Try reposting your so called medical question in the medical section,

Maybe somebody can give the prescription for a backbone!!!

hopefully not the yellow type.

For Nettel, with regards Pearl Harbor:

you launch an attack on American military personnel on their bases over which flies the Stars & Stripes you attack America, you make it sound like the U.S. were occupying Hawaii!!!

Maybe she doesent mean just our side doofuses maybe she means total like all the iraqi civillians that are now dead. that brings the total up ALOT. Anyhow war is never pretty and the bad thing about this one is it has no real purpose or reason people are dying for nothing. At least in WWII there was a need for people to fight.........

the losses in this war are diminutive compared to wars of the past. however, that does not devalue the sacrifices that some have made to uphold American interests in the MIddle East. The economy will recover and we will go on with our lives.

"Only the dead have seen then end of war", Plato........As long as we are on this planet there will always be a war somewhere. Even if we are not in the war it will somehow effect our economy. Every living creature on this planet has to fight for their rights, way of life, where they live, and the air they breath!

when your in the military or in a military family that is all you have i don't understand people that worry about it so much when they are not the ones loosing family and Friends over it for military this is our way of life it is something we have to deal with every day and continue to go on with our lives and remember those who so bravely fell for our glorious country

war happens because life is chaos and chaos is war it is something you have to deal with rather we want to or not peace cant just happen out of no where someone has to do the dirty work those soldiers that lost there lives lost it for a great cause instead of dieing for no cause at all

instead of worring about them dieing you should honor the fallen we dont need to hear complaints but rather complements because you worrying about them gives their fight no puropse and that is disrespectful to thoes of us who do live this life and fall for our country
