I know you need a parents signature to enlist when you're 17, but what if you graduated early and already have your high school degree or are joining the DEP?

Still need mom & pop's signature. Whether you're in now or in later in DEP. Get yourself ready. PT and stay out of trouble Read that little red book your recruiter gives you and bug us who have been there for questions and answers. Best of luck to you in your future carrer as a member of the Botherhood of Oldest Fraternity..The Marine Corps..Semper Fi!! Been there, done that. Got the Club Patch.

Added 12/01/07 : Take your time make sure the Corps is right for you and your right for the Corps. When you turn 18 then it's your chose, Just keep in mind family is and always will be important, and make the right decision for you. When you prove yourself in the corps you family will see your side of things a little easier maybe. Good Luck with what ever you choose.

Congrats, good choice! You can wait a little longer, it will come soon enough. Just get your self in shape and learn your knowledge and basics, start alot of Physical training, running, pull ups and sit ups. Use the extra time to better your self for boot camp. Good Luck and Best wishes on earning the EGA!

Cool your jets Fodder. You need consent. Use these next few months to learn your basics (alphabet, nomenclature, rank structure, etc.). It's time to start pushing your way to China... and time to buy a pair of issue boots. You'll be much better off entering with tough feet and knowing your boot size.

You still need parental consent until you turn 18.
