Dennis, also the Gulf War syndrome has been denied by government officials. We need to take better care of our troops defintly. The quality of the VA hospitals needs to be increased and the promises they make to People upon joining the Armed Services needs to be fulfilled.

This is B*llsh*t !!!
There have been 3,882 service members killed in Iraq and tens of thousands of soldiers wounded, some that will never walk again, never see again, their lives totally changed.
This still doesn't touch on the hundreds of thousands of soldiers that have been to Iraq since the beginning. How could anyone not be effected by being in combat?
I feel that all soldiers, airmen, marines, etc... have some form of PTSD upon return. I have been back for over 3 years and have since retired. I will never be the same person because of what I have experienced.
There are numerous stories on television about military members returning from Iraq. I am watching a 20/20 episode now about the effects of war of these returning soldiers.
We have completed our job overseas. It's time to bring the troops home! It's not surrender, it's time to let the Iraq country take care of themselves. Why do you think there are all these bombings and killings over there? I will tell you why! It's because these people are anti-Americans and they don't want us over there. If someone helps America then they are targeted. Once we leave, then things will work itself out.
If the government looks at history, this is what happened after the end of WWII in Germany. Hitler loyalists were still around but the towns people and the country ran them off. They did it themselves.
Wake up politicians and Mr. Bush!!! It's time for a change!
Not one American life is worth it!

There is always a price to pay during or after a war. It is easy for people, especially people who have never been through the experience of war or hostilities to criticize it.. Yeah people die and get maimed uring wars, this isn't nothing new, it's been happening since the first war, whenever that was.
Dennis, ask any service man or woman what "Surrender is not an option", they will tell you.
It's all about commitment and finishing what we started and not quite just because someone at home is uncomfortable with it. Any service person that has gone through it will be the first one to tell you it's a ugly and horrible business but that's when they need to know that we back them up 100%, They deserve no less for the price they are paying.

You are right with your question, Surrender cannot be an option. However your link to Ron Paul, well, lets just say the man has a real lot to learn.

I'm assuming your referring to the Iraq war. I wouldn't call it surrender. We did what we came there to do, which was change regime. Now lets give them back their country.

Dismantling the constitution (even a little) for the sake of (perceived) security is the ULTIMATE CAPITULATION...Fear Driven...what is the point of saving our lives if we can't enjoy liberty?

I agree. Surrender would be the worst thing that we can do now.
