So do we have to sacrifice our own people for OIL?
I have been working in the Oil industry for over 30 years and we have plenty! It's not the security of our nation, We have the best security, or at least we use to! Over 3000 dead! How many more have to die? How many more fathers, sons, mothers & daughters have to die!! Have you lost a loved one?
How the hell do you feel?

its the worst mistake the world ever made. i find it very disturbing that we will most likely live the rest of our lives in a cold war where each side (mainely Russia and the US) has their finger so close to the button. if either side decided to attack, that would be the end of the world as we know it. that bothers me. cause if we keep them we could all die, if we dont keep them we could all die. also does anyone know how many nukes their are in the world and how many it takes to kill most people on the planet?

IED's almost always are on tight city streets or out in the country side. The simple answer is.....dont drive on the roads. This solution only works in the country side/ not the tight cities. If humvees dont drive on the roads, it would make getting hit by an IED ten times harder. DRIVE OFF THE ROADS!

I'm confident I'll make it through the yelling, following orders and physical training but I've always been a giant wuss when it comes to sleep. If I have only a couple of hours a night, I start to lose my mind a little bit and can't function. Is there any free time in between drills or after meals in which one could sneak an hour of sleep? I'm also a very light sleeper, are the barracks filled with 18 year old kids talking or loud snoring? I know it will be tough in many other ways but this is honestly my main concern.

I recently join the U.S. Navy reserve a few weeks ago and was sent to boot camp. At the boot camp i found it hard to adjust to the new life and feeling depress. I was finally ordered to see the doctor and was diagnosed as depressed and was medically discharged for that reason. Can i still join the navy after overcoming my depression?

I'm keen on hearin' what it was like for you in the army. I'm a medic in the army.

I also have a question: Should I sleep with my chain in command (he's married!)? Honestly, he keeps on pressuring me to. I said no for quite a while, and I have not been promoted at ALL, and have been kinda ostracized.

And please don't say "Yeah, if he's good looking" or other answers like that.

Has anyone ever had experienced this? It's really annoying!

We dated 5 years, married in July'06, and I became pregnant during the honeymoon. Aug'06 he left me for another woman. She became pregnant Oct'06. In Nov'06, he went to bootcamp. Two weeks later, our divorce was finalized. They married in Feb'07. Our child was born April'07.

In the divorce, he was required to pay child support ($224 a month), and as additional support 1/2 of daycare, all of medical, and he has to get $150,000 in life support. There was no alimony.

The child support was based of me making $2000 a month, and him at no income, which in oregon meant they based it off minimum wage. (He had no job the last 2 1/2 years before the military)

I have a new job, which pays less but has more opportunity ($11 hourly vs $13 before). He is now pfc, and told me he makes $2500 a month. I wish to raise the child support (cs), but he claims his income that can be counted towards cs is only $800 a month. How do I determine if this is true? What else should I be looking into?

Im 15 and Im interested into going into the military as soon as I can. I had Just a few questions.
Im a little confused about the different parts of the military such as, Marines, Army, Navy, Airforce, etc. I want to know how they differ before I make a decision on what one I am interested, for now, I like ground work so I'm pointing towards army.

Another problem I have is that I dont do JROTC because my High School doesn't have one. I am planning on doing ROTC in college however. Since Im not doing it now, will that set me back alot?

My last concern is that I don't think I will be able to go to a Military Academy for college. I don't have the exceptional grades that they require. I know those academies get you adjusted to military life beforehand so its easier for when you go into the military after, and I think the change from civilian life to military would be tough for me since I'm not in ROTC now and I wont be in a military Academy. Hows this all work?

My husband is in the Army National Guard. He just completed his 1 year tour in Egypt. While over there, in January, he signed his reenlistment and promotion papers. This entitles us to Dec, Jan, Feb and March back pay for the difference of an E4 to an E5 payscale. We were also entitled to a sign on bonus of $7000, which would be taxed at first but then the tax would be refunded. We got the $5000 or so in Feb. Also, his hostile fire pay was screwed up all year, and they still owe us at least two HF paychecks.
It is now almost June, and we haven't recieved anything except the taxed bonus. His unit is preparing for most of them to deploy to Iraq in June, so I know they must be busy, but what about us? Should we wait until the unit leaves to ask about his pay? Or should we ask now? We have called the finance department several times with no reply.
Is it true if we wait too long to ask about it they have no obligation to pay him??

I thought the Messerschmitt Me-410 was as close as I could get to a Messerschmitt Me-210, all in all I think I might have misplaced it with the Messerschmitt Bf-110. Is there that much difference. I noticed the Bf-110 has the twin tails vs the Me-210/410s only have a single tail section. Help?
